I've been immersed in research on Reconstruction in Lousiana and it's a very difficult truth to absorb that the white terrorist movement in the South was among the most successful terrorist movements in global history. This is the most heartbreaking stories I’ve heard in a long time. ICE detained 2-year-old Orlin Hernandez Reyes’ mother. She begged to be reunited with him before deportation. ICE refused. What happened next is horrific. No matter how you feel about immigration, normal people don’t like cruelty.
