Well, mom’s lab work this morning has to be rescheduled. Woke to the sound of her shuffling around in kitchen “eating breakfast” which consisted of pb & banana sandwich… not a big deal to reschedule and the flowers are blooming nicely. Taking sick leave for the whole day to get mom to two dr appointments and then hopefully get my hair cut after three months. Spent the last few minutes staring at a wasps starting to build a nest above the garage door. Was going to knock it down so they would fly somewhere else to rebuild, but decided not to. Whatever. With everything falling apart, potentially getting stung by an annoyed wasp isn’t a big deal.

Back from the grocery store. The line waiting to purchase Powerball tickets stretched from the customer service desk down to the wine section and over into the freezer aisle. It was funny and sad at the same time. I read there’s a higher chance of being killed by a vending machine than winning.
