Hubby and I take ours (3 years now) on Wednesday nights because that's the day the first shipment arrived. I am almost 78 and, been on my share of drugs over the years. Right now I get almost all through a mail order pharmacy operated by my insurance company. NO ID. I do take one "scheduled" drug, for sleep. I pick that up at a local pharmacy where I do provide my DL. This is different state by state.

Thanks, I tried to say that, but you did it so much more eloquently. Well put. I am 77 and inlestees and drafted military have all those years standing in line for their multitude of immunizations and our Army, Navy, AF, Marines, and Coast Guard stayed safe, home and on the battlefield.

Now 77. At the 200th/225th I was very excited. We live at the beach in SC, I will enjoy our flyover of a single jet followed by antique war planes from the past. I will watch PBS broadcast of the concert on the mall, if they even allow it to take place. And that will be the end of my celebration.

At 74 peaked at 220, got Breast Cancer and DM, A1C 6.5. Surg and radrx took a few off, Letrozole reversed that. At 6 months post Dx started Tirz. I plateaued at 7.5. 150# Bumped up to 10 for 3 months and stopped at 140#. >33%! 7.5 slowly ⬆️ me back to 150 so trying alternating 7.5 &10. 3/2023-now!

It has kept me active enough at almost 78 to be brave enough to join my daughter, son in law and precious 14 year old about to be in HS grandson on a trip to Spain in 3 weeks. I am working hard to be able to keep up with them. And learn to flamingo dance. No bull fighting though.

The anti-inflammatory effects of the MJ have prevented a second knee replacement and kept me in the gym for coming up on 3 years, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I can get down on the floor and back up again....using just two fingers. I'm working on look ma, no hands.

Ellen, it is the exact opposite of win/win. If they recommend you stay on it, whew, continued side effects. If you can come off, oh dear, I lose the protection. I bounce back and forth as to what to wish for. I will be on it 3 years on July 4, so time to figure that out.

As is the BCI test coming up next year. From the start I fully believe the MJ mitigated the Letrozole side effects as I have minimal to none. The Letrozole is only winning the weight loss battle. I'll figure it out. 10 mg kicked my butt for the 3 months I was on it. I plan to alternate 7.5 and 10.

And then there are those of us with HR+ Breast Cancer on AI drugs (hormone blockers) that suck the last few drops of estrogen from our bodies. I started MJ shortly after starting Letrozole, 7/23 and 8/23. Keeping it off is getting harder. Bumping up to 10 mg for a while and maybe alternating. 🤷‍♀️

I let all the super seniors, who according to the poll worker in Little River (Horry County) were lined up outside when they got to work this morning. These folks always show up early. I went at 2PM, (I am 77, LOL) no line, several stations empty. 5 minutes total. I profusely thanked the workers.

77 year old boomer here. I read with the flashlight. Mom threatened to rip books from my hands, send me outside to play and lock me out. No supervision or restrictions from age 4 on. My kids (57/45) learned to write their names at 4 to get a library card. No supervision or restrictions, ever. 📚

I am surprised by how difficult it is. The only good news is that because of Covid and Silver Sneakers I spent the three years before (to avoid boredom) and the three years since (to fight the hormone blockers) in my spare room working out so have maintained my muscle weight. Now to attack the fat.

1) Bump to 10 for 3 months, ⬇️ to 7.5, hope my second chance to maintain there works. 🤞 2) Bump to 10X4 doses, alternate 10 and 7.5 for 5 months. Repeat 7.5 maintain 🤞 3) Alternate 7.5 and 10 for six months. Repeat 7.5 maintain or stay in that plan. 4) Plan D? 5) GFR 65, ask for Reta when released?

TY for a great article. 77 female CRNA here. Started 9/23, went from 220 to 150 over 15 months on max dose 7.5. Bumped to 10, dropped to 141, BMI 23.8. Now, in 12 months, 10-12 gain, 150-153. BMI 25.6. I see my primary next week with questions and possible options to discuss with her. Next.....

No, there are two American patients under consideration for the disease, one tested positive the other is showing early symptoms but has not yet tested positive. Let's leave the word "mild" in Tenerife. It has no application here. This disease is 40-50% fatal and has no treatment and no vaccine.
