Somebody has had bad experiences with umpires! That said, a few are awful. Most are reasonable and there are some good ones out there too. I do think there should be “feedback” forms for teams to complete after tournaments so the organizers can collect data and decide who not to hire in future.

Well, that's classic. Send out an email telling people to just reply if they have questions, and then, when they do, send an auto-response back saying the email address is unmonitored.
P.S. Questions about your order? Just reply here. We'll get back

IReassuring that AI is no better at getting left & right correct 😂 It would not move it to the other hand either - no matter how many times I asked, each in different ways. In the end, I used Openart and Nano Banana 2.1 to move it to the correct hand.
Prompt asking the AI (Gemini in this case) to add the glove back on her right hand (she is a lefty). It placed it on her left hand.

"I was writing it in my head " - output from Gemma4 which I have noticed, at least in the version I am running locally, had a tendency to over-think everything to the point that it sometimes gets stuck in a loop flip-flopping between two opposing thoughts.
Now I'll refine the script because I noticed a mistake in the regex logic during my thought process (I was writing it in my head and realized I might have messed up the re.append part I typed in the draft). Let me check the script I just wrote. Actually, I see I had tsl_exits = re.append(...) which doesn't exist. I should fix that. I'll rewrite it properly.

Quite happy with that efficiency. Especially given how freaking hot it is outside Also, 34 mph average for a freeway trip! Actually better than most days I do this trip too.
Trip summary from the Taycan showing 47.6 miles traveled at an average speed of 34 mph and efficiency of 3.3 mi/kWh. Not outstanding for EVs, but good for this car. I normally get only about 2.9 mi/kWh. Outside temp 100°F - about 38°C. In October.

Wait, I just realized I didn't actually perform any edits yet. I was only planning to.

Really? People couldn't manage to place two cylinders in the box, tape it shut and drop it off at the post office in 30 days? That's a whole month.
Some of you told us 30 days felt tight. With travel, family, and life getting
busy, | understand.

So we changed it.

From now on, you have 70 days from delivery to return your empties.
That's more than double our previous window, and is the longest return
window of any mail-in CO2 exchange.

People are oddly trusting. I would not let any AI, and especially not one from Meta / Facebook, have the credentials to accounts at other sites. Definitely not sites with the ability to place charges on my credit card. Is shopping on Amazon really so hard […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
What happened: Meta launched Muse two weeks ago, billing it as a personal agent for people with no technical experience. Muse can handle multistep tasks like sending an email or booking travel, the company said, which means plugging it into your entire digital life (not just Facebook and Instagram). Turns out, people were ready to hand it all over—it became the No. 1 free app on the US App Store last week, app-mogging ChatGPT.

But Amazon wants to be excluded from the narrative: After Meta refused to keep Muse off its site, Amazon blocked the agent for violating its conditions of use, claiming Meta never said Muse would browse the store. The agent doesn’t identify itself, and it appears to get and store customers’ login credentials, Amazon said. (Meta said Muse has “no visibility” into passwords or payment methods and that it can use shared credentials without seeing them.)

The GLP-1 industry has a reputation for being out of reach and overpriced. While the ingredients in compounded GLP-1s cost as little as $5 to produce, many Americans pay up to 1,000% in markups.

Collective was launched to change that.

With a low $199 annual membership, Collective is able to pool members’ buying power to negotiate the best wholesale prices from trusted US pharmacies. Members pay $59—$69/month for doctor-prescribed, third-party tested, compounded GLP-1s, and the price stays the same at any dose.
