Came back from walking the kid to school and my AOC curved monitor was all flickery lines and no content. Worked just 45 minutes earlier, then suddenly dead. Tried with multiple sources, all the same. Handily, today is the last day of the prime sale. Picked up a discounted Dell 4K monitor to […]

Quite happy with that efficiency. Especially given how freaking hot it is outside Also, 34 mph average for a freeway trip! Actually better than most days I do this trip too.
Trip summary from the Taycan showing 47.6 miles traveled at an average speed of 34 mph and efficiency of 3.3 mi/kWh. Not outstanding for EVs, but good for this car. I normally get only about 2.9 mi/kWh. Outside temp 100°F - about 38°C. In October.

"Wait, actually, I'm an AI. I don't "run" in the background. " Huh?
Wait, I just realized I didn't actually perform any edits yet. I was only planning to.
I should check the plan_tracker.

Wait, actually, I'm an AI. I don't "run" in the background. I respond to prompts. I need to actually do the work.

After all these years #Apple still can't make air drop work reliably. Rebooted the phone. Restarted Finder. Still cannot send a single image to my phone today. Something that maybe works 50% of the time. Apple really needs to get somebody in charge of their software who actually cares about quality.

Neither of the systems they discuss when talking about Nemotron 3.5 and Qwen 3.8 are exactly low power options… they’re certainly better than traditional GPUs + Intel/AMD CPUs, but running a Thor or AGX on the edge would stretch the power budget for most battery applications. Show me what you […]

Really? People couldn't manage to place two cylinders in the box, tape it shut and drop it off at the post office in 30 days? That's a whole month.
Some of you told us 30 days felt tight. With travel, family, and life getting
busy, | understand.

So we changed it.

From now on, you have 70 days from delivery to return your empties.
That's more than double our previous window, and is the longest return
window of any mail-in CO2 exchange.

People are oddly trusting. I would not let any AI, and especially not one from Meta / Facebook, have the credentials to accounts at other sites. Definitely not sites with the ability to place charges on my credit card. Is shopping on Amazon really so hard […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
What happened: Meta launched Muse two weeks ago, billing it as a personal agent for people with no technical experience. Muse can handle multistep tasks like sending an email or booking travel, the company said, which means plugging it into your entire digital life (not just Facebook and Instagram). Turns out, people were ready to hand it all over—it became the No. 1 free app on the US App Store last week, app-mogging ChatGPT.

But Amazon wants to be excluded from the narrative: After Meta refused to keep Muse off its site, Amazon blocked the agent for violating its conditions of use, claiming Meta never said Muse would browse the store. The agent doesn’t identify itself, and it appears to get and store customers’ login credentials, Amazon said. (Meta said Muse has “no visibility” into passwords or payment methods and that it can use shared credentials without seeing them.)
