There are policies afoot—especially in the US, where a right-wing reaction to trans activist overreach is underway—that many trans activists dislike and even fear. But even the worst of these policies—like proposals to investigate families who medically transition their children—cannot in any sane universe be characterized as genocidal. Never mind that I’ve yet to hear a single ‘TERF’ endorse such policies. Yet, somehow, activists still find a way to blame JK Rowling or even journalists like Emily Bazelon for the actions of Republican lawmakers.

Have you seen the accusation that SEGM is funded by the Heritage Foundation and is a hate group? It isn't true. This research shows where that slander came from. And that the Southern Poverty Law Center received funding (and much more of it) from the same source! open.substack.com/pub/voidifre...
There’s two possibilities. Either SPLC did not verify this information, in spite of their near-limitless financial resources, in which case why should anybody take anything they say seriously given this level of incompetence? Alternatively, they do know that these allegations of shared funding streams are far more applicable to themselves, in which case this is pure deceit on their part.
There are millions sloshing about in opaque funds, with wealthy US philanthropists funnelling money to pet causes or exploiting tax breaks, and SPLC is one of the fattest pigs at the trough, with three-quarters of a billion dollars in reserve, which they are now using to baselessly smear the reputations of clinicians in the UK in service of an ideological legal agenda in the US.
I think that anyone seeking to understand and address the misinformation and disinformation currently being spread about the Cass Review need to take a long look at the incredibly well-financed activists in the US who have been successfully traducing tiny organisations and blameless individuals, with no serious opposition, for years. As with feminist targets before, these attacks don’t stop at the door of SEGM - they spread, by relentless guilt-by-association, to contaminate absolutely everyone who touches them, or anyone connected to them

Obvious sealioning but funny.
Can someone explain this to me, genuinely? Why do people feel the need to identify as a different gender just to express more feminine or masculine traits? Like, can't you just *be* a guy who likes 'feminine' things or a girl who likes 'masculine' things without changing your whole gender? I'm truly confused by that whole link.

It's really easy to understand.
Some people are born with a female body and a female mind, same with male BUT then there are some that are born with a female body but a male mind or male body and female mind. Those people are just trying to align their body to their mind. Also there are people born whose body doesn't particularly align with their mind but they just go with it and s'times call themselves non binary or gender neutral. See how easy that is.

What is meant by a female mind? Specifically? What sort of things?

Feminine people born with a female body I guess feel feminine&their body is feminine. Theyre aligned.
Its hard to explain bcoz my body is totally female but my mind is mor neutral. Equal feminine&masculine but even though I'd rather have slightly smaller breasts(size F) 4 sore back reasons, Im not going 2change anything.
A lot of women(female born), feel womenly so if you'r born with a male body but female mind, that would be weird. Definitely more weird than me. It makes sense to align the 2

I just don't know what a female mind is.

You'd know it if you had it and trans women do.

If I don't have a female mind, what sort of mind do I have?
