Posting your findings on a platform like this is great, especially when its a shorter form finding. But for something longer, I definitely recommend you start blogging too. As that's a whole other area to learn and a very fun one at that.

Been seeing you skeets for a little while. Keep up the journey. Even if you go down a route of automation, always, always, spend the time doing manual verification. Because sometimes the logs say "everything deployed fine" but something wasn't quite as expected when you come to manually test.

I remember doing all this manually like you are doing. Then I learnt about PowerShell DSC & the ActiveDirectoryDSC PowerShell coupled with the Lability PowerShell Module made it very easy for repeatable lab environments (even back in 2016 when I wrote this) blog.kilasuit.org/2016/04/13/b...

Still got this one, not that I thought I wouldn't pass the renewal 1st time. Lost the Azure Administrator, Developer & Solutions Architect by forgetting that they needed renewed in time, not that bothers me having not done Azure work lately. Maybe I'll sit them/replacements in the future.

Also this wouldn't have been a thing if Spotify actually offered a yearly subscription Because I'd have budgeted for it earlier on in the year

Not gonna lie Whilst I've been back on Spotify Free my current most run #PowerShell command of the day has been Kill Spotify | sleep 3 | start - process $env:AppData\Spotify\Spotify.exe Because those adverts are a pain Nearly had a threadjob working so didn't need me to do anything but was iffy

Currently sat watching @drdeanburnett.bsky.social 's reaction to #ADHDMyth Channel 4 Documentary I'm going to author, record and publish my reaction to it on @mhasl.me before the end of the year. Why the delay you may ask? I need time to get all my 💩 in order first - that's why.

Yeah horrible mix of backend & frontend limitation there But you should be able to build a list view that does the rendering for this and bypasses that limit IIRC Unless I'm mistaken ofc been time since I did SharePoint stuff

What you want is a timeboxable lock/unlock feature on skeets and replies so that "freshness" isn't refreshed after a set time much like a poll expiry time & similar to locked GitHub issues or forum posts etc

Ryan @blog.kilasuit.org · 04/09/2026
No that's how it's meant to be from An email thread doesn't just stop being a thread because a reply wasn't within short timeframe of previous ones Sure it may have been in our minds deallocated from immediate recall memory so requires a quick refresh to joy the memory

Apologies - the Header has the GitHub Icon in it that links to the repo but that isn't visible on a mobile browser from what I can tell. I would suggest adding a section like the many sites like docs pages hosted and published on GitHub have for improving them like this

@robmensching.com Can you please add a footer to github.com/opensourcema... that links back to the repo please as it's been mentioned that there's no traceback to the code (which there should be tbh) for something like this

This needs for the process for bots to mark in the CLA who is the main owner, which may/may not be specified as an individual but more likely would be a team instead, yanno in case a person gets hit by a bus etc
