I have such empathy and admiration for women readers. The world needs more women authors because if male authors write women as inaccurately as many women authors write men, I may have never grown a love for books. Women who endured the patriarchy and still found love for books are warriors.

The "duped voter" narrative is a comforting myth. If only we had better messaging. The reality is tens of millions of voters looked at a platform of mass deportation, ethnic cleansing, state violence, and the dismantling of civil rights, clearly understood it, and said, "Yes, that is what I want."

Honestly, I’m 46, and I’m finally truly grateful to have a job. This current job economy is toxic and if I wake up on Monday and don’t have a job, then I’ll probably retire to Costa Rica, Ghana or Kenya, ’cause I don’t have it in me to take a $25K pay cut just to stay employed in this country
