I'm all for videogame preservation man, but an invasion of buggy vibe-coded decompilations is not a good thing. They misrepresent what the game is actually like, and for a lot of people that's the version they'll remember.

Everything is one of those essential Windows utilities. I never use Windows without it. That said, a recent update on Windows screwed up my everything database so bad that I can't even get it working again after wiping it. Not sure why! Had to make a whole new user account to use it again...

A lot of the time in my experience that tends to come down to things like the screen tablet's frame rate when drawing on it and other ergonomic concerns depending on the tablet's size. I use a larger one, and with the framerate maximized and a wrist rest I'm able to draw more comfortably at it!

They made Trip's face wider and less "mouse" face plan. It made her design seem more related to her dragon form. My big problem with Trip as a design was that too much priority was put on giving her a "cute" look and it makes her look too mammalian. This artist drew her more like Espio...

There was an artist I saw online that did an excellent redesign of Trip the Sungazer from Sonic Superstars that addressed all the problems I have with that character's design, but I can't remember who it was! The drawings were binary-pen if memory serves, and trip was more lizard like. Anyone know?

If you run into that issue, I was able to resolve it by resizing the options window a little, then clicking cancel. Seems to be some corner case. It runs fine and I can save and open SAI files!

I was able to run Sai2 with no issues, including the license registration process. The program threw a few error messages when drawing until I unchecked the options in the History and Recovery menu. I'm using the CrossOver version of Wine, but it likely works in regular Wine too.

Yes! I do most of my work from Fedora, with a Windows install on a virtual machine for tasks that can't be avoided there, like InDesign or FL Studio work when it comes up. Been studying up on what Scribus can do as an InDesign alternative. The goal is to never have to use Windows again if I can!

Technical issue with the stream should be resolved shortly! The wifi driver stopped working on the stream machine, that keeps happening in Fedora for some reason. Stream will restart in a few minutes!

I always hold my tongue on this because I never want to harsh anyone else's buzz but I'm a Blaster Master Zero series player & the direction the series went with its character designs was a massive disappointment. Kanna and later what they did to Eve completely derailed and undermined the series.

"NSFW" is a practical label used by adults who are in mixed company and are being surveilled there. Adults spend most of their day either at their own job or at someone else's - a university, for instance, is a jobsite. It's not a value judgement, but it is shorter than "viewer discretion advised".

Like it feels like they hammered him into a Phillip J. Fry kind of shape if he never went to the future, where the original Bubsy also had like a queer character to him, like a way less successful Bugs Bunny. Like his problems are a world willing to exploit him more than any specifics about *him*.

I used to use Pillbug when I was using an alternate frontend, because I missed Cohost. It's been so long since I was on Mastodon - I'll have to go look through my archives to see if any other frontend was used. I don't know if pillbug still works or not?

I've found that the UI issue is solved if you use a different frontend, and yeah the cross instance following and interaction was very useful when I was there. It helped to quell the anxiety around having to choose an instance for sure!

Beyond all that, a lot of the time it feels difficult to be frivolous on Masto. I feel like I'm at an engineering conference, and tend to be formal and brief there! The parts where I know porn is ok to post tend to be defederated or stigmatized, and it's all too much to keep up with!

I've been scanning the contents of the sketchbooks I'm working on over on my sketchbook account. I've settled into a 660 page A5 book & have been working my way through it. I draw studies in the front and characters in the back - working my way through the Morpho Simplified forms book when studying!
