Still so damn funny to me that Toby Fox put “Jarona” in the game. I remember looking it up after playing the chapter expecting to find out it was a sensible reference to something I was unfamiliar with, and instead only finding other people asking “what the fuck is Jarona?!”

I want people for whom D&D doesn’t appeal to find their fun, too. (especially when the alternative is saying “the rules don’t really matter anyway, we can do whatever we want” and then falling into all the pitfalls that mindset creates) That’s what I’m always ranting about

There’s also people who aren’t playing at all. People who I know for a fact would enjoy RPGs—improv comedy folks, escape room enthusiasts, actors, writers, worldbuilders, video game folks—but don’t get into them because they think D&D and its tactical orc slaying is all there is.

The majority of 5e players would be at least 3x happier playing something else designed to create the experience they actually want to have, but they don't and I don't understand why. Do they not know? Do they just not care?
