The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a red ball labeled "A SILLY MEME".
The second panel shows Sarah taking the ball and going through a door labeled "GROUP CHAT".
The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."
The fourth panel shows Sarah standing in the doorway behind them awkwardly holding the red ball.

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

ahead of the cost of debt which is also growing. As long as Cost of Debt is lower than Growth of Economy it's sustainable. Once it passes that it's quickly unsustainable There's way more to it and I don't know it all myself of course but it may be outpacing our GDP growth and causing a debt spiral

which we're not price conscious buyers; they needed a stable return more than a profit to ensure they could pay out their retirement obligations. Those are all but gone now so investors who want a profit are now buying and they want higher rates. Higher rates means more growth is required to keep

Basically growth has outpaced the cost of government debt for so long that people have taken it for granted; if that breaks, however, then the cost of debt skyrockets and becomes harder and harder to repay as those commitments begin eating the economy. It's also related to the end of pension funds

Slab Graveyard xkcd.com/3303/
4-panel comic. (1) PERSON 1: Any plans for Halloween? PERSON 2 with beret: Me and my friends are gonna check out a slab graveyard! (2) PERSON 1: What’s that? PERSON 2: When dense crust subducts, geologists think it might pile up at the bottom of the mantle. [illustration of Person 2’s related theory] (3) PERSON 2: We’re going to hide in the crust and ride it down to see. Wanna come? It’s gonna be spooky! (4) PERSON 1: Won’t that take millions of years? PERSON 2: Lots of time for ghost stories! PERSON 1: I think I’m good. PERSON 2: Too spooky? I understand.

i hope that men notice how whenever a rape story gets widespread coverage, women use it as an opportunity to vent about how fucking disgusting we think many of you are and how many have made our lives measurably worse, and take a few moments to deeply process that.

Meanwhile, the Cat Dispersal Process continues unabated.
Four panels showing the arduous process of adopting a dog, such as going to a shelter, finding one that looks at you, filling out paperwork, and bringing the dog home.

This is followed by two panels where she is living comfortably before a cat unexpectedly crashes into her life, specifically through the ceiling, which is only slightly an exaggeration most of the time.

All that said if you're tired of "he said/she said" arguments at work: show up with good documentation and details and that makes it a *lot* harder to ignore you.
010
Blenster 🅅 @blenster.com · 28/09/2026
I used to say it's like an avocado with a short ripeness window but now I think it's more of a spectrum, like houseplants: an orchid tasks a lot of work to maintain but some documentation is more like a peace lily which requires little effort. You need to know where to focus your energy.
110
Blenster 🅅 @blenster.com · 28/09/2026
But, as you know, good documentation requires effort to maintain; it can be a source of technical debt (through lack or being outdated) and must be managed as such. It has to be ingrained in the culture of your team that this is just another part of the work. It's not done until it's documented.
110
Blenster 🅅 @blenster.com · 28/09/2026
For many teams/people it feels like "extra work" rather than part of the mission. Good documentation has saved my metaphorical bacon many times. Being known as a team that *has the receipts* has discouraged all but the most foolish from making political attacks.

It has smelled of an Anthropic PR campaign to me. These "doomers" seem to be investors who'd benefit from the regulations that would hurt their competitors. Meanwhile they get to attack anyone who has concerns about AI development as a bonus.

I'm working on a talk on embracing the audit and learning to love documentation and all the ways that the right mindset and approach makes your life easier. It's also handy to have good, up to date documentation for non-audit reasons I think the hardest part is making sure management has your back
