What this has done though is that it got me interested in looking into Moonlight and Sunshine for a dedicated game streaming setup. I wonder if you can run games in Proxmox VMs with anti cheat, as I heard Kernel Anti Cheat and VMs do not mix well.

On one hand, it is really nice I can play these anti cheat games on my Linux install and my Mac (would prefer a native experience, but baby steps), but on the other, the future of true game ownership may be bleak if people who don't care about this stuff get used to streaming games over wifi.

I tasted a forbidden fruit, that being GeForce Now, as a means to play the modern Call of Duty games (another forbidden fruit) on my Mac and my RHEL install. The fact that it worked really well, and was responsive on WiFi of all things makes me horrified for the future of gaming.

#mayaartists #rigging #blender how important are IK and FK switches to artists? Back in my Blender 2.5 days, I had no idea that IK and FK switches were a thing and I just made rigs with IK only, and I do the same in Maya. Really thinking I should learn to use them, even if they are harder to make.

I think eventually I will have to cough up some dough to get an internal blu ray drive and a case with a 5.25 bay for my next pc build as this may be my last chance to get an optical drive for a future pc. Damn it I still use physical media. DVDs, blu rays and CDs for life.

Is there a way to automount an XFS drive in WSL? Do I have to mount the drive as admin in Powershell every time? I like how I can mount my ntfs drive on RHEL incase I need to share files between my OSes but for some reason there is no foss driver for XFS.

So the COD beta said I needed to update my bios on my motherboard which I never had to do for a long long time. After doing so, it wiped my secure boot keys, and made Linux unbootable with secure boot on. That and the power button on my PC case does not work anymore. What a day ;-;
