If any prize for solving a problem requires a community consensus before it can be awarded, count us as against accepting their "work". We are in this line because, at some point, we discovered a passion for learning. We value truth over headlines, understanding over code. We reject the corruption of our fields by the "AI" industry as we would reject any other industry that stultifies thought, that sells easy ignorance and devalues knowledge. We believe in teaching students and illuminating the public, not glazing the reputations of oligarchs. We oppose the "AI" industry just as we would refuse to use leaded gasoline to truck child laborers into sweatshops to paint asbestos with radium. Quixotic, Ever Determined.
