this game is quickly becoming one of my favourite RPGs I’ve played in recent memory, and if it remains as good as it consistently has been for the last 10 hours, it’ll likely end up being among the top 15 that I’ve finished

I finally got back around to continuing my playthrough of Touhou ADiA, and damn, this game’s soundtrack is amazing the gameplay is also extremely good, it’s kinda funny how in the past I dropped my playthrough right before the game fully starts to shine

I got a job at my university! I'm looking forward to it, it seems like it'll be a good experience

I guess, but iirc there aren’t many countries where that on its own would be a reasonable cause to sue (or, if the suit were filed, it could be simply tossed out by a judge who thinks it’s a waste of time)

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Fair, but since the PS1 version was never released outside of Japan and people in Japan would likely take less offence to Hitler being depicted in a game, a hypothetical lawsuit would likely only be about the PSP version. Also, tbf, what reason would someone have for suing anyway?

110

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

Not really, since Fuhrer wears glasses and is never explicitly referred to as “Hitler”, and since the Nazis/Third Reich are only ever called the “Last Batallion”, Atlus would be able to claim that it was a total coincidence if they got sued over it (Whether they’d win is another story, but still)

i caught a glimpse when he put it back in his bag, it was Kaiju No8 (which explains why I didn’t recognize it, because I know nothing about the series other than its title)

guy in front of me in class randomly pulled out a manga and started reading it before the professor arrives, and i can't figure out what series he's reading lol

i saw some yuri art on twitter, and had to genuinely think for a second because i couldn’t remember the correct word for “yaoi but with women” what level of self-inflicted brain damage is this

000

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

i could torrent it and not have to deal with this poorly-scraped version, but for some reason my PC refuses to install network adapters, so i can't use my VPN. i need to reinstall windows to fix that, and that's probably a pain in the ass and risks erasing some files, so i don't feel like doing it

I was gonna continue watching Heartcatch Precure, but for some reason the subtitles on like every site have patchnotes(???) included in them, and it's kinda annoying

We realistically won’t be a “part” of America, but we’re probably going to be in bed with them for the next 4 years, and I’m sure as hell not consenting to any of it

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Even if it’s unfeasible, I’m worried because our likely soon-to-be prime minister, Pierre Poilievre, gained his popularity through copying American populist tactics, and he’s shown himself to be a massive corporate bootlicker who just wants to cut social programs and enable the far-right, like Trump

I’m starting to feel genuinely afraid of Trump’s constant threats to make Canada a part of the United States.

Though, in all fairness, Touhou has no official translations and Homestuck mostly ran on flash and is only fully available nowadays through a dedicated fanmade project

The funniest part of this fact is that despite their influence, most people haven’t actually played/read them

originally this post was specifically about girls, but in the middle of typing it i imagined a boy in boxers and an oversized shirt, and immediately had to change my phrasing because goddamn that’s a cute mental image i love boys..,…,. i love them so much.,…,.,..

something interesting I learned a while back is that there are a handful of old anime that had Canada-exclusive dubs that differed from the American versions in weird ways this, in turn, led me to the discovery that the Astro Boy dub my mom used to mention when I was a kid is actually lost media

henceforth, me being an Ideas Guy™️ is strictly banned until I actually release something the "something" in question will likely end up being the prologue to either my VN, the yaoi death game LN, or a "serial numbers filed-off" version of that Fate fanfic I mentioned

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

i need to stop being an Ideas Guy™️ and actually fucking write something goddamn everytime i think "man i have a cool idea" i immediately get mad at myself for it because i still have nothing to show for any of my other ideas

blancair | alt account (check pinned) @blancair2.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

actually wait I just remembered Stands and Personas, fuck it there's probably no harm in filing off the serial numbers on this one thanks for the idea!
