i want to write a dark fantasy short story that's an allegory for my experience with queerness, but every time i come up with a "short story" idea my ambition spirals upward until the project becomes unfeasible so i'm gonna keep it on the backburner for now

shoutouts to aimod for being one of the only advantages this site has over the other one, i love that i can just see this on the profile of someone that follows me and immediately block them

i tend to feel very disconnected from gender as a whole, i can't tell if i'm non-binary or if i'm just the world's chillest cis guy

What's a game you feel only you have played? It's a freeware indie open-world rpgmaker game that was apparently really influential in the japanese indie scene in the early '00s but didn't get a fanTL until a couple years ago It's fun, but a bit grindy and obtuse at times. Would still recommend tho

Uni is shaped like an onigiri. Unigiri! :3

A black and white cat with a large round face sits upright on the floor, resembling the shape of an onigiri.

Nintendo Switch 2? Looks like you need to switch 2 another console, or better yet, switch 2 a better form of government so that your games, and your eggs don't cost 300 smackers. you've got egg on your face, from when the president smacked you, so face the music. Wii Music.

i’m being completely deadass when i say that the most interesting reveal in that direct was the bravely default remaster

220

Blancair @blancair.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

welp, since Switch 2 games are $99 in Canada and the console itself is $630, i think it’s time to “switch 2” pirating everything instead

referring to a 4000-year old poem as “fujobait” probably warrants me being executed by stoning, but in all fairness it is really funny

my original plan for an april fools joke was too high-effort so I ditched it in favour of this

people on twitter complain about this app because their posts don't get traction here but i've never noticed a difference because i never get traction on either platform lmfao

just discovered this interesting Korean RPG from the early 2000s called "Seal: Travelers of Destiny". It looks neat, but I don't speak any of the languages it's available in 🥲 Also, despite it having Japanese and Chinese translations, the only download I can find is for the original Korean version.

tangentially-related, but assuming that Jojolands ends up being serialized for roughly 10 years like Jojolion, it's gonna be surreal to look back on because the part began when i was in grade 11, and by the time it ends I'll likely be a year or two out of law school.

So, if people did not know, the series was on ice for so long because the composer, Tsunku, was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer in 2014 and had art of his vocal cords removed. That they made a note of him coming back for this one is actually kind of a big deal.

Kinda crazy how the new Pokemon game is actually just Fate/stay night "legend has it that those who reach Rank A will have a wish granted" boy I can't wait for the twist where it's actually a ritual to summon Zygarde or something

000

Blancair @blancair.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

raidou remaster looks really good actually, guess i no longer have an excuse to not play it lmao

Blancair @blancair.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

the modern vtubing scene is very surreal to me because i started following the scene before Hololive and Nijisanji even had their respective EN branches, and fell out of it around when HoloEN Gen 2 began (around 2022 i think?) So I got into it early and left early lmao

“left-handed” this, “right-handed” that, but I honestly feel like the *entire* left side of my body is better than my right I have better balance on my left leg, my right hand has drier skin than my left, and when I shave my face it’s only the right side of my neck that gets splotchy and irritated

000

Blancair @blancair.bsky.social · 23/03/2025

I think having an early-morning class this semester has ruined me because now even on weekends I’m incapable of sleeping past 7AM

I went to a drag show with friends, and tried makeup for the first time. I’m hesitant to post pictures because I don’t really want to share my face publicly on an anonymous account, but my IRL friends can vouch for the fact that it turned out pretty well lol
