Québec election results. One of the smallest deciding popular vote shares in Canadian history. The new PQ government at 28% popular vote (19% counting turnout) should not assume they have a mandate. The CAQ gets 0 seats with a higher pop vote than the QS with 9 seats. FPTP isn't working.

Energy experts repeatedly find there's no economic case for this pipeline. On their own, the private sector won't touch it with a 10-foot pole. Yet our politicians, both federal & provincial, are willing to squander taxpayers dollars on what's doomed to be stranded assets. Pure madness. #PipelineBan

I heartily recommend reading Hannah Ritchie's "Not the End of the World". She's a data scientists who focuses on climate and environment issues. I really appreciate this particular insight.
Photo of a page from the book showing a graphic titled "stick with others pushing in the same direction". There is a circle in the middle. To the left of the circle are arrows pointing at climate change deniers, fossil fuel companies, and meat lobbies with a label "While those trying to drive positive change are distracted by in-group fights, those opposing environmental action gain ground". To the right of the circle are arrows pointing at vegans, flexitarians, nuclear fans, renewable advocates, behaviour change, system change, technological change. The have the label "We spend most of our energy fighting among allies trying to drive positive change. Those pushing together in the same direction, even if at a slightly different angle are on the same team." One last arrow points down at a box labelled "Doomers" who drag progress by blocking positive action.

The chalk-fronted corporal is a medium size dragonfly. The wings are mostly clear with a tinge of brown at the ends. The tail is short and wide and is chalky white close to the wings. The thorax has two wide chalk white bands on its otherwise black back. It is sitting on some white granite that has small black veins running through it.
