Kavanaugh's decision on trans people in sports contains a footnote saying it applies only to trans women, by the way. So trans women can be legally segregated (and his reasoning isn't limited to sports), but he explicitly says it doesn't apply to trans men in any gendered spaces at all.

One of my favorite books from the past decade is written by a trans author. Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki from 2021. I picked it up on a latk and ended up falling in love with the story and the characters inside. It's wildly inventive and brilliant.
