5/5 Manuscript two functionalizes the discovered glycan-genetic encoding to an easy-to-use and accurate neural network, the INterloping Saccharide Neural Network Extrapolation (InSaNNe), for predicting glycans on the membranes www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

4/5 Manuscript one details the discovery of the “GlycoTemplate,” the protein structural constraints on glycan biosynthesis. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

3/5 Glycosylation, like all biosynthesis, depends on environmental conditions. However, in contrast to non-templated glycan biosynthesis, we have discovered a comprehensive mapping of protein structure to specific glycosylation events.

2/5 Glycosylation is classically considered to be non-templated. Classically, glycans are determined by the cellular environment and NOT the genome.

Partner and I got an icecream maker. Tldr, we think we can make some weird icecream with a bit of help from glycans! Will share if it's good or weird.

Reposting for continuity... I believe we discovered a comprehensive mapping from protein structure to glycan structure, a genetic encoding for specific glycans, and a new paradigm in extracellular biology. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
