Just looked at this Osaka webcam clip and thought "Oh I've been right there, I think I bought a yuzu drink in a 7-Eleven just around the corner to the left of where this camera is filming from" – and, sure enough, I found it on Google Street View

Oh you need all the relevant information combined into one image do you Thameslink? OK! Can't wait to find out if I'll get my £3.93
A photo grid collage of four parts:
1. My Gold Record Card for my Oyster season ticket.
2. My Oyster card journey history for today.
3. The details of the relevant journey from Oyster.
4. A screenshot of a load of text I wrote explaining my claim, which says:
• My annual Z1-2 travelcard is £1788.
• £1788 ÷ 464 = £3.85 per single journey.
• My delayed train ran from Zone 1 (London Bridge) to Zone 5 (East Croydon).
• The first part of my train was in Zones 1 and 2 and therefore worth £3.85.
• The second part of my train was outside my travelcard zones and was charged at £4, the Oyster PAYG fare for travelling through Zones 3/4/5.
• The total value of my journey was therefore £7.85
• It was delayed by over 30min
• I am therefore claiming £7.85 × 50% = £3.93

Got 15 of 21 films, a new low I think – but also made what I think was my first outright planning spreadsheet error, putting one film's screening into the wrong Wednesday and thus designing an impossible schedule with a clash in it. As it happens that film had sold out, but no retrying for it now!
Spreadsheet of film links and screening times spread across columns representing segments of days, to help pick slots which avoid clashes

Another @londoncentric.media story which needs some urgent government attention (but instead can't even get a comment!)
Extract from the article linked in the quoted post below, which says:

"We asked the Property Redress Scheme what checks it carried out to verify that Anchor Gate, a newly formed company, registered to a shared office address on City Road in London, was a legitimate lettings company before putting it on a government-approved register. Neither they nor the government responded to multiple requests for comment.

"The Anchor Gate website is no longer live after scamming Londoners out of thousands of pounds. Despite this, the company still appears on the Property Redress Scheme’s public register. That’s despite London Centric repeatedly telling the Property Redress Scheme more than a month ago that it is still endorsing a scam estate agency."

It's super-close, but @wiilassie.bsky.social (who took this pic) reports the fire is slightly further west. Although personally I'm so here for this narrative that I'm prepared to decide that the lights had drifted east on the wind before we saw them, which is not impossible

It's bleakly funny comparing the puff pieces from two years ago about what an absolute pantheon of capability and leadership the Starmer project had assembled to fill Parliament with, with how the resultant party in Parliament is now dealing with this crisis inews.co.uk/news/politic...
Extract from the linked 'i' article, which says:

“The standards for candidate selection in the Labour Party have never been higher,” said a party source. “We have worked hard to bring in big political experience as well as people who are working at the top of their professions. From prison officers, shop owners and police officers to scientists, economists and fund managers we have a wealth of real-life experience hopefully coming into the next parliament.

“Candidates have gone through an intense training programme with several sessions a week so they are ready to go out the blocks when the firing gun on an election is called.”

This was around the point the BBC went back to Lewisham for the actual newsworthy moment of the Greens now taking control of Lewisham council, which is apparently now going to be the last council in the entire country to declare its result
BBC News channel showing the breaking news that the Greens have gained Lewisham from Labour, in front of live footage of the Telegraph Hill ward result being declaredScreenshot from Sky News which says:

Greens take Lewisham council amid collapse in Labour support.

Result declared!

We have just learned who will control Lewisham council - the last of the 136 where elections took place on Thursday to declare.

With 39 of the 54 seats declared, it is confirmed that the Green Party will take majority control from Labour.

It is a humiliating loss for Sir Keir Starmer's party, which until today held almost every single seat.

Labour has had control of the council since 1968, aside from a four-year gap of no overall control between 2006 and 2010 when a wave of anti-Blair, post-Iraq War opposition swept in lots of Lib Dems.

The Greens had been in second place in wards containing 37 of the 54 seats, and amid a national surge for Zack Polanski's party, have converted that to a majority.

Oh wow, I see now why that last ward was so late declaring. What an absolutely beautiful work of art this result is. Thank you, 1033rd voter for Donna Briant
Slade Green and Northend ward election results, showing Labour's Stefano Borella came first with 1106 votes. After this, Labour's Donna Briant was the only other person elected, with 1033 votes, while Reform's John McDermont got 1032 votes, just 1 less, failing to be elected.
