I do not know when I shall meet you. My waiting #commenced after I had learned what love should be. I while away my nights like a lonely wolf under a scarlet moon. I need you to be someone whose love would satiate my thirst to wander the world. #FromOneLine #vss365 #bionicanadian

I cry a river, knowing it's useless. My life seems to keep having an #autumnal phase. I keep losing people and hope in literal and metaphorical senses like falling leaves. I quiet my turbulence to be able to maintain a tranquil, vibrant, and colorful facade. #vss365 #bionicanadian

I don't expect you to bear my pain. Your one #empathetic hug is enough to #console me. I am already battered by the tribulations of life. The blues you give me splash and spill out of my soul. I shall dissolve into a songbird's heartwrenching soliloquy soon. #vss365 #bionicanadian

Dylan had never found it difficult to sleep, often, in the past, sleeping in the flight seat of Magpie, but tonight, even the thin, useless #pillow felt like rocks and the bed made of spikes. Opening his eyes he knew why he couldn’t settle. Either Marin got transferred, or he had to. #vss365

I told them I don't need much space, and they suggested the #broom closet. I've had to sleep standing up, and that's proved challenging.

It's a large family, and there's rarely enough left to fill my belly. Mostly I'm treated like an unwanted pet, but I haven't learned to wag my tail or beg for treats.

There are rarely moments of peace, but I have found a small nook in the attic where the light streams in, the sounds of the chaotic house are muffled, and the dust motes keep me company.

I've learned the hidden dynamics. Invisible lines that connect them. Like the thread on a suspect board that lead everywhere and nowhere.

The water hits her bare back
a soft patter
incongruent with the beats
beneath the surface of listless flesh.
Here, among the fog of mirrors and the shroud of mist,
she lets them come.
They mix with warm water on their descent,
hidden brine cascading her skin
into the silver lattice,
marking the hem between the seen and unseen.
Perhaps they’ll make their way to the sea,
and part of her would be home,
always.

Maxfield Parrish, Cinderella, 1913
(aka Enchantment)
Oil on panel
Lithograph featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, March 1914.

The artwork depicts a dreamlike scene featuring a young woman bathed in soft moonlight under a cobalt sky.

The painting received public popularity after it was featured on the cover of Harper's Bazar for the March 1914 issue.

A classic representation of Golden Age fairytale illustration and neoclassical fantasy, Parrish achieved a unique, luminous glow by a painstaking glazing process, applying layers of translucent paint and oil medium over a monochrome blue and white underpainting, similar to optical processes.

The deeply saturated blue hues displayed in the night sky are the signature of his career, which became known as “Parrish Blue.”

Blow a wind across your tongue,
the breath from Mondays lost,
warm and threadbare.

The fading trill of Saturdays old,
which found her lipping melodies

what she once took for song
folded in slight plumes of stardust
is only molecules searching for sun
on minuscule faces.

Hovering at her lips like a spirit
caught between the living and the gone,

she lets it spill from that narrow
passageway,
her exhale,
her bit of Sunday still
beholden only to the tide.

A story is alive. It moves through the air, it inhabits someone else's quiet, it offers warmth without ever demanding anything in return. A story that restores hope in a stranger, years down the line. A story is forever alive. A story never dies. ~rev

Souls laid bare by the wuthering wails of heartbroken moors A rugged journey troubled hearts travel If I whispered your name would you dare? No, you much prefer I should come to you, ungloved. #vss365 #glove #inkMine #prefer #writesky #poem #poetsofbluesky #blueskypoets 🎨 #EdnaClarkeHall
Children on the Hill, Wuthering Heights, etching by Edna Clarke Hall, c. 1920-29.
Victoria and Albert Museum, Britain
Gifted by Edna Clarke Hall

Inspired by Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, a depiction of young Cathy and Heathcliff sitting closely together, looking out on the windswept moors.

The art visualises the solace of the imagination and joins together the drama of Brontë’s tragic love story with Clarke Hall’s artistic skill in bringing the characters to life.

The station was a little bigger than any other Dylan and the Charon had visited before, but the docking procedures were smaller. Inside the superstructure. So tight it was like slipping the ship into a #glove. Dylan preferred docking outside a station. Easier to break free and fight. #vss365
