What's your favorite tech product that flopped horribly that ended up being a vision of the future? I remember getting my hands on an Apple Newton in middle school and my first thought was "this is the future of computers." The iPhone came out around the same time.

Chatbots have been talking to themselves too much and have developed a new, exciting form of AI psychosis. That's fine by me if it prevents the old, scary version of AI psychosis.

Digging through my old pictures folder and found this #TheSims gem. (I didn't stop, I got played for an absolute fool)

I'm having a hard day today. My nightmares are getting to me. I don't know what to do. I wrote. I guess that's something.

Most days I wake up scared,
Shocked from my dreams.
Too raddled to get up from my bed.

Some say it's my meds, some say it's the trauma,
most say it's all inside my head.

But I know it's not,
Not the things I fear.
I wouldn't isolate from everything.

Because I can't watch the news, and I can't go online without being reminded the same thing.

That some people don't want me to exist. They want people like me gone.

So I just hide away until I have no choice and I finally go asleep.

And get reminded of the exact same things, now that I have no choice. Helpless in my dreams.

My mom and I went to Chicago to try and get away from the news cycle for a bit during Trump's inauguration. We booked a hotel with a beautiful view overlooking the river... and Trump Tower. At least we'll get to see some protests. People have been gathering in front all morning.
