Holy shit modern equipment is astronomical units better than what I am used to! A mirrorless camera is so, SO light and fast and just outright better than DSLR's... Wow! I probably won't regret my poor decisions but; I will never financially recover from this... Oh well, birb time soon!

I really should just buy a new camera and a macro lens already, I thought phones were good enough nowadays but it was objectively wrong, this could've been much better with better equipment. I'll take another on Alt text has some background info

Two cut mini roses in a repurposed estradiol valerate vial, or vase now I suppose, background has a fittonia, the roses themselves, and a candle, and a sliding door, this is my sun room, it is bright enough to make roses bloom.
I am not happy with this, I need something like a 50mm, this is very wide angle and the background is in more focus than I want, and bokeh sucks too. I'll set the same thing up again soon, when I have enough free time to do my research and get a new one
But I don't think an A54 can do better than this. It was "almost there" for a lot of the photos that I take so I never replaced/repaired my old camera

My end goal is never needing to go birding ever again. Meaning I want them in my backyard, ALL of them! Now that we've moved and the lawn enforcement has left us alone, we can finally be ourselves. Got this book recently and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. 10/10, would recommend!

Oh my god holy FUCK I solved my main CRT's issues and it was the dumbest thing in the alt text. I am kinda fuming rn, but hey it's NOT broken!!! It looks and runs like a dream!

So I was messing with the service menu, and I noted everything possible down and did a factory reset. Well that was a big mistake because I lost audio and an extra ANT input appeared.
Turns out that also reset those 3 OPT values to "whatever", they were not the default values for my model, so the dumbass was thinking it was a different model and it was a separate menu within service menu, design menu. And the service manual had the values for 1 and 2, but not 0, I found it with trial and error.
I didn't even bother to check if those values were correct, because SURELY it will be the preset values, right??!
