In anticipation of Silksong's release, I did a full replay on Hollow Knight, and then made an oc! If I had a character in that universe, it would be a Carpenter Bee! The Praying Mantis is my OLD fanart (2019) #teamcherry #silksong #characterdesign #art #hollowknight #insects #drawing

Fanart of an original character created for the Hollowknight / Silksong Universe. The drawing is an anthro Xylocopa violacea (purple carpenter bee) drawn in the style of Hollow Knight, a video game made by Team Cherry.

Fanart of Hollowknight - Original character exploration - quick studies of different character poses of the anthro carpenter bee.

Reasons why I would be a carpenter bee as a character in the Hollow Knight universe. There is an image of a purple carpenter bee and text about it. A cleaned up version of the text reads:

The reasons why:
-They are clumsy
-Despite their size, they are 90% bluff
-They are known to bite rather than sting
-I am actually afraid of them in real life
-They just want to hide in holes
-They have cute little sweaters
-They have chunky legs
-They come in the color purple

Exploratory sketches and references for an original character created for the Hollowknight / Silksong Universe. The references include images of carpenter bees, as well as official character designs from the original Hollow Knight game by Team Cherry.
