France’s mandated profit-sharing distributes excess profits to workers. This paper shows that the policy raises the labor share and reduces the profit share, with little to no effect on investment, productivity, etc academic.oup.com/qje/advance-...

Abstract
Since 1967, all French firms with more than 100 employees have been required to share a fraction of their excess profits with their employees. Through this scheme, firms with excess profits distribute, on average, 10.5% of their pre-tax income to workers. In 1990, the eligibility threshold was reduced to 50 employees. We exploit this regulatory change to identify the effects of mandated profit-sharing on firms and their employees. The cost of mandated profit-sharing for firms is evident in the significant bunching at the 100-employee threshold observed prior to the reform, which completely disappears post-reform. Using a difference-in-differences strategy, we find that, at the firm level, mandated profit-sharing (a) increases the labor share by 1.8 percentage points, (b) reduces the profit share by 1.4 percentage points, and (c) has small to non-existent effects on investment and productivity. At the employee level, mandated profit-sharing increases lower-skilled workers' total compensation and leaves high-skilled workers' total compensation unchanged. Overall, mandated profit-sharing redistributes excess profits to lower-skilled workers in the firm without generating significant distortions or productivity effects.

Israeli and U.S. violence and terror must STOP NOW! Millions of civilians are being displaced, bombed, killed, starved, and subjected to chemical attacks before the world’s eyes. ACT NOW. ✊🏽🇵🇸🇮🇷🇱🇧 Freedom for all peoples living under occupation and exploitation.
"Israeli ceasefires mean 'you cease, we fire.'"
Refaat Alareer
Israel and the U.S. escalate violence and terror across Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. While Israel continues stealing Palestinian homes and land, besieging and starving entire populations, and killing Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, it escalates its terror and ground invasion in Lebanon with airstrikes on refugee camps, beaches, and neighbourhoods. Meanwhile, the U.S. ramps up its attacks on Iran with strikes in the thousands.
Both the U.S. and Israel operate with total impunity. The first six days of the U.S. war against Iran cost over $11.3 billion - not including the massive military buildup across the SWA region ahead of the strikes.
Meanwhile, a preliminary Pentagon assessment determined that a U.S. missile strike on an Iranian girls’ school on February 28 killed 168 children and 14 teachers.
The price for this escalation continues to be paid in civilian lives.Across Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon, Israel and the U.S. target hospitals, houses, schools, journalists, medics, universities, refugee camps, and emergency response teams.
Ambulance and paramedics face "double-tap" strikes - attacks that hit once and then strike again when rescuers arrive.
This is not about "collateral damage". It's about Israel and the U.S. breaking societies and crushing any resistance to occupation and colonial power.
People must not only refuse silence. We must act.

Statement from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker
This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.
We must now start calling this what it is: Trump's Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state's military troops.
I call on Governor Abbott to immediately withdraw any support for this decision and refuse to coordinate. There is no reason a President should send military troops into a sovereign state without their knowledge, consent, or cooperation.
The brave men and women who serve in our national guards must not be used as political props. This is a moment where every American must speak up and help stop this madness.
