Science grows through conversation and by widening who gets to shape it. Join us in Sydney to explore the opportunities and roadblocks for AI in Bio, and how we build foundations for knowledge that is transparent, diverse, and robust. Benchmarks, failure modes, and surprisingly tough tasks welcome!

We built waxMorph with spatial omics and light sheet microscopy in mind. In the future, we hope to work with time resolved measurements to quantify how these aspects of cell biology interact across scales to shape tissues over time. Reach out if you have such data already!!!

The code is open source. We have tried to make it easy to use and modify. We hope it becomes a community resource that improves through use, criticism, and contribution.

waxMorph is a computational ecosystem for understanding multicellular shapes. This work brings together ideas from AI, biophysics, spatial computing, graphics. We think these fields have much to offer one another, and much to offer to the study of development and regeneration.

How are two embryos alike? As we collect spatio-temporal microscopy data, we want to quantify variability in the timing of key developmental events. Alignment of multiple recordings is a core engineering challenge here and we suggest a solution; read about it: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

A quantitative coordinate system for developmental dynamics
Quantitative comparison of morphogenesis across individuals remains a fundamental challenge, as developing embryos vary in shape, orientation and developmental tempo. Moreover, real-time three-dimensi...

Leaving my office v happy this Friday. This thesis was hand delivered by the author (Mari) who visited our lab before there even was a proper lab. The visit led to nice science, recently published, and more importantly ongoing science and friendship 😊 thanks @kuba-sedzinski.bsky.social and team!

Excited to present our framework for interpretable disentanglement in multi condition data at ICML' 26 arxiv.org/abs/2506.17182 . While useful for different types of data, we think it's particularly useful if you have omics collected across distinct covariates like age or perturbations! Try it out!

c) It aims to be replicable and robust, the code is meant to be used by experts and non-experts. We are excited to find out how the tool can be broken and improved! We found many gaps in the #generativeAi for bio methodologies which we hope we can address
