Always amazed at the poor design quality of even major brands. Look at these two shots of the display on a Whirlpool washing machine. One is taken from above, the other from directly facing the display. Which one is the most common viewing angle for a washing machine?

Photo taken from a high vantage point looking down on the LED light panel on a washing machine, showing wash temp as high, spin as medium, soil as normal/light.

Photo taken from eye level of the LED light panel, showing wash temp as warm, spin as slow, soil as light.

This idiot has probably never been to the BOREAL FOREST a day in his life. It is 5.5 times the size of Texas. You cannot "groom" it. It's burning because of climate change. The utter bullshit from these climate deniers. Canadians are sick of this bullying and they are not going to take it.

I ride my bike every day and don't own a car so I park it in the stall that comes with my unit. Today I got a bylaw infraction notice stating: "Personal items were observed stored in Parking Stall... This is a violation of Parking Policy: Storage of items in parking stalls is strictly prohibited."

Watching this Jon Stewart interview with Richard Thaler and it goes off the rails around 25 mins because Stewart seems to have no idea of what economics is. He seems to think it's only about what capitalist actors should do in a market economy to maximize their returns. youtu.be/rZczEzMu_U8?...

Nanaimo is upgrading its only high street but keeping it car dominated. I spoke to the project manager who said he would have liked it car free but local businesses wanted to keep it that way. Is there an argument that city officials are better able to act in peoples' interests than they are?
