New poem up on the Some Words Lit board in which I argue that deer hunting is ontologically sapphic: somewords.boards.net/thread/209/b...
An excerpt from the poem "Bullet, to the Deer" as published in the message board/lit journal Some Words Lit. It reads:

"Bullet, to the Deer

Your teeth found a clutch of clover
Your tongue a giving river
Your black nose an interesting smell under the bark
of something that fell before both of us
got here.

You closed your eyes in perfect stillness,
your body rigid with peace.
When you found a clutch of clover,
I found you."

Sometimes you write Phantom Menace fanfic for a live show and your friend reads it and screams at you.
A series of text, one is a voice memo, the other is a reaction that reads "Hey. Hey. What the fuck? How dare this be so good? How dare this be so fucking beautiful? What am I supposed to DO WITH THIS." Followed by a message that reads "Ben Quadrinaros!"

This photo is the crowning achievement of my life.

Hi! Please pre-order my book I worked so incredibly, unbelievably hard on it. It’s gay, it’s trans, it’s sexy, it’s violent, it has FEET in it!!!
The cover of What was eaten was given by Wilhelmina "Billie" Sainwood on a pale peach background overlayed with a red rectangle that reads "All those women, so far up there they could’ve been angels. It is because of their height, I knew I could climb." sits beside black text reading, "release date July 14 pre-orders are open"

on the cover a glistening, uncut liver rests on a white line drawn plate flanked by cutlery on a black background. the title and author's name are rendered in white.

I have a book coming out next month. If you like body horror, love poems, religious trauma, and feet? You’ll have a new favorite book by July. WHAT WAS EATEN WAS GIVEN out July 14th
[Desc: a promotional flyer for my poetry collection that reads PRE ORDER OPEN JUNE 17th 2024. The background is spruce green, the text is coral pink. To the right is the book’s cover, a glossy black background with the words “What was eaten was given” over a piece of liver meat laid out on a sketched white table setting (plate, knife, fork) and the text “poems by Wilhelmina “Billie” Sainwood” at the bottom right]

Special thanks to photographer Robert Wolfgang for taking pictures at the Atlanta Trans Talent Show so I can look like “I’m curse you!”…”with puppies!”

Wrote this for Trans Day of Visibility. We exist. We are glorious and mundane. We are vibrantly alive even in silence.
“Trans Day of Visibility”

Today, all the Dragons like me watched the red sun
rise and spill its light through our windows
like pink champagne, like medicine,
like blood.

Today, it looked like blood more than usual.

Today, we all yawned and roared and spread our terrible wings.
And looked at clothes.
And messaged our friends.
And flirted with each other.
And laughed at stupid jokes.
And went to work.
And fixed our cars.
And drew pictures.
And cried about Palestine.
And cried about home.
And cried about each other.“Trans Day of Visibility”

And made sandwiches.
And wrote poems.
And watched movies.
And played video games.
And took pictures in the mirror.
And asked for money for groceries.
And gave each other money for groceries.
And blocked people.
And ignored phone calls.
And read books.
And checked in on each other.
And posted online.
And practiced our woodworking.
And drove across the country.
And made plans to see each other.
And kept our ears open
for the sounds of suits of armor,
for loud marches.
And we wondered in whispers
which of our day’s labors
would be called a fire
this time.

Figured I’d update my profile picture since I’m feebly dedicating myself to posting on here more frequently.
Bee poses for a bathroom mirror selfie in which the mirror is dirty in the transfeminine tradition. She is wearing a new chocolate brown top with the deepest V-neck of her life, showcasing a subtle whisper of cleavage she is frankly only slightly insecure about. Her hair falls in a gentle straight sheet down her shoulders (this is the only straight thing about her by the way). Her hips are playfully cocked to accentuate the hint of denim skirt at the bottom of the frame. On her face is a slight smile she hopes conveys an emotion somewhere between “Mommy’s home!” and “I’m still not sure if this outfit is safe for work, but I wore it to a Zoom meeting with my boss today and it went well so here’s hoping!” She is also leaning on the counter to indicate a friendly and approachable demeanor.

New blog post up.
Excerpt from a blog post: As a trans woman I know a lot about indignity. My breasts ache. My stubble bickers with me. My newly long hair seems allergic to any kind of containment. My body rarely cooperates with me during sex. So much of me has changed. And yet, with each dose of hormones I feel closer to God. I feel a greater empathy for those like me. I feel the stones of my soft pink tomb rolled away. She is risen.

“i’m bruised with potential.” Reading HERE I AM, PRY ME OPEN by Atlas St. Cloud after stumbling across one of his poems on Twitter. What a bold, flensing look at transformation and the quiet moments between bodies. A staggeringly honest and worthwhile collection of work.
An image of the book cover for HERE I AM, PRY ME OPEN by Atlas St. Cloud. The cover is a realist oil painting of a supine body with a bleeding wound in their side.

Making a little videogame about social anxiety with “combat” encounters at a party and accidentally made one of the “enemies” too cute by accident. She plays guitar. I am a fool.

Wow.” The top half is a cute looking pixel art punk rock girl. She has a guitar, cutoff shorts, and a Dead Kennedy’s shirt.

Whiplashing our comfort movies? Sure why not.
A scene from John Paiz’s 1985 film, Crime Wave. A young white girl with brown hair and a red sweater eats cake with a white man with dark hair and white tee shirt. The cake is white blue and in massive slices that obscure their mouths.A scene from William Friedkin’s 1980 film cruising. An older white man in dark jeans and no shirt and dark hair touches the chest of a younger man in dark jeans, a black tank top, and messy dark hair. They are surrounded by men in various states of undress.A scene from Nora Ephron’s 1998 film You’ve Got Mail. A young blonde woman in a white button down and black vest and a young brunette woman in a loose gray shirt smile and look off camera. They stand at the counter of a bookstore surrounded by books and flowers.A scene from Lucio Fulci’s 1982 film, The New York Ripper.
