This shitty automatic chapter update on YouTube has been bad, but it does make it funny when it has to try and make sense of a YTP

beat dk64 again. more fun game when you can pick and choose what bananas you want to go for. it is a 10/10 game when it's good and like 5/10 when it's bad so that's like a 8/10 average. it makes sense

bikwini atoll @bikwin5.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

that's right

flavor of the week artists don't have any sort of spine or brain or any sense of integrity at all they just hop from one trend to the next in desperate hope of their next image getting more likes than the last

The Super Mario Sunshine Hater in the replies when supper mario broth posts about Super Mario Sunshine: I do not like Super Mario Sunshine.

Reposted by bikwini atoll

Supper Mario Broth @mariobrothblog.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Super Mario Sunshine is surprisingly more realistic than later Mario games in one specific aspect: here, Mario will start drowning if he hangs on to a ledge in such a way that water is flowing into his nose and mouth, as one would in real life.

Observe Mario holding on to a ledge that water is flowing over in Super Mario Galaxy (left) and Super Mario Odyssey (right). If realistic physics applied, he should start drowning since his nostrils and mouth are covered by water flowing into them.
However, in these games the air depletion/drowning state is tied to the swimming animation. As long as Mario is not visibly swimming, he cannot be drowning even if he is covered by water.
In Super Mario Sunshine, however, air depletion is decoupled from swimming as an action, allowing Mario to realistically start drowning in this situation (note him flashing red and his air meter depleting).
However, he is saved by Sunshine's (also unique among 3D Mario platformers) ledge tiredness mechanic. After hanging on for 20 seconds, Mario will let go. This is also realistic, since why would he let himself drown?

had a dream i was playing yoshi and the mysterious book but it was a fully open 3D platformer. the world was cartoon stylized except for these realistic beating hearts embedded in the terrain. there was a collectible that was a white token being fought over by two wild hogs you had to get rid of

dk64 crystal caves girl. friends call her cici. she is a professor at kong kollege

doodles of a girl who resembles the crystal caves level from donkey kong 64. she has pale skin and blue hair in a bob cut that sparkles in the cave light. she has thick glasses shaped like crystal coconuts, and earrings that match. she is wearing a blue dress with a crystal pattern on it, a brown jacket with stripes, a dark blue necktie with the initials CC on it, and dark blue tights and shoes. at the bottom of her dress are hanging stalactites. she is holding the monkey book of science by m. nuts under her arm, and in her other hand she is holding a walking stick for her visual impairment with a golden banana on the end. there are some other doodles of her, one is of her angrily saying "get out" in harsh lighting and the other she is holding a baritone saxophone.

said crystal caves girl shaking violently, clearly in distress. some of the stalactites are falling off of her dress. in the aftermath, clutching herself, she says "i'm sorry, that was... i get these awful tremors from time to time, you see. they're very disruptive. all i ask is that you stay out of the way."
