Saudis have not ruled out developing nuclear weapons, U.S. intelligence assesses
The sobering outlook has compounded concerns from some U.S. lawmakers about President Donald Trump’s agreement to assist the kingdom with establishing a civilian nuclear program.

Sunday reading - I wrote about the coherence fallacy: The MAGA regime will continue to escalate because they are ideologically, temperamentally, and psycho-politically incapable of anything else. But there is no strategic genius at work here.

You cannot boot it up the field if you cannot hold it up mate. Otherwise all it does is surrender position especially against a team with a centre back like Senesi who is incisive in his passing of the ball.

I agree. I also think loaning out Ethan was part of a broader systemic issue that has plagued the manager which is reliance on a small squad and lack of rotation in the early part of the season. That makes loaning such a player look logical at the time. Squad management remains a big challenge

Spot on, I particularly think that for both players while they served us briefly for part of their careers, the bigger picture remains that direct rivals deemed them surplus to requirements years ago. Us depending on them is ridiculous

Rob, it is with the benefit of hindsight but I think signing him was a mistake precisely because of his limitations with the ball at his feet. I would rather a have a young keeper who is excellent in that regard but whose fumbling of the cross can be chalked to inexperience.

I agree bro. Sterile football. Yes we have injuries but there is a broader structural issue with the way we play. That and a mindset, at 2-0 we seemed to lack belief we could equalise.

Stephen Biko @bikointellect.bsky.social · 22/03/2026
Fully agreed Queen, we were so flat in the second half. Hardly threatened and created very few chances. Perhaps the two weeks international break comes at the right time to both recuperate and improve aspects of the way the team plays.

Good point. Also interesting parallels for Villa away, Madueke comes on for Saka on the right, He misses a decent chance late in the game, we go on to concede a late goal.

Where we are
Morning. I went back this morning to try and find something I thought I’d written in our big season preview back in August, but it must have been elsewhere. Maybe it was something I said on the podcast. I can’t recall exactly, and I don’t suppose it matters too much really. Basically though, my contention […] The post Where we are appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.

Episode 847 – European rotation
Welcome to another episode of the Arsecast – the Arsenal podcast. In this episode I’m joined by Tim Stillman to look back at Wednesday night’s 2-0 win over Olympiacos. An early goal settled the nerves, but European games can be tricky, that proved to be the case here. Arsenal had chances to score, but so […] The post Episode 847 – European rotation appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.
