I for one abandoned twitter because it was instrumental in helping the current group of monsters get elected and had already begun to fester into a hateful, rage inducing cess pool of slurs. So when people say "haha you left because of AI and now-" no, a lot of us didn't.

bluesky is using AI, fourthwall is using AI, patreon is using AI, twitch is using AI, my tiny german internet host in the middle of nowhere is using AI - unfortunately everything tech related will be touched by this shit somehow. all you can do is disable it best you can and tell them it sucks

Once again for any creative; use whatever site best fits your needs for your livelihood. No socmed site big enough to hold a audience is going to be free of genAI; be realistic with your expectations and pick the lesser evil. Your value as an artist isn't tied to numbers or a particular site (+)

omg it got better, they have themes now, but also: they've began a community-powered AI flagging system to catch AI shit that the site itself doesn't, love to see it

It’s so laughably naive for anyone to say genAI can be used “ethically“. The cat is already out of the bag, the models are already trained on stolen work. Even if you could build viable models on only rights-free work there would still be the issue of energy use, inaccurate output, etc. Be for real.

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

for my actual commander: she... would end up joining the pact to fight zhaitan and the dragons at some point. 😞 i could also see her becoming a diplomat of some kind, maybe involved with/part of the order of whispers.

i finally.... bought a new tablet. the one i got last year has been driving me closer and closer to the precipice of losing my gd marbles so i've given in. the new one is an older refurbished model (much closer to my old tablet) and cost less then it takes to fill my car's gas tank 👍
