Not a overall great game by the Habs. They hung on for a win. A few D issues with the 1st and 3rd lines, and not a fan of the Dobson/Matheson and Carrier/Hutson pairings on D.

Dach's d coverage on Nylander's 2nd goal was not good. Looked like he was in lala land.

100

Carrier shooots from the point. 3-1 Habs

030

Habs sitting back this period so far.

Habs 1st line at the puck drop of the period do not start off very well.

000

Marchenko dancing around with the puck in the Habs D zone, and Dach is covering him... just stick checking him.... not one hit while Marchenko was along the boards..... pathetic.

Nice feed from Matheson to Bolduc... 2-1 Habs

000

Leafs killer Josh Anderson scores.... 1-1.

So far seeing D coverage issues in the D zone for the Habs. We'll see if they can improve on their PP this season.

One bomus on the anglo broadcast for tonight is we don't have to hear Garry Galley.

Toronto has such a corporate crowd that they need someone asking the crowd to stand up and get loud as they introduce their lineup.

I don't get it..... is Knives bad off-ice?

These centrist Dems and some GOP's are finally getting of their hands and showing they have a small pair.... because there's an election in less than 2 months.... if the GOP does not implement martial law.

I am surprised that Reinbacher was sent down... thought he had a decent camp. Florian and Adam E still remain on the big club. Looks like Monty will be the backup for the season.

040

I am sure we won't hear any Habs roster moves today. Habs coaching/dev/ops staff going through the roster today with a comb. Then Kent will meet with players tomorrow to give them the news.

Habs crowd standing and applauding Monty's save efforts on the PK.

000

Consistency will be the dark word for NHL officiating.... Xhekaj call on Nemec.... no call on Newhook getting hit.

Thanks to this new NHL/Rogers TV agreement.... the Habs/Sens game from Ottawa can't be seen. TVA is showing CIS football, and Sportsnet showing baseball.

Amazed what Geoff Molson accepted and bought the plan Gorton was selling. A team that went from zero to heros in five years. I have not seen this level of optimisim in 35 years, and having the top prospects, drafting, and development depts in the league in 40 years.

Nice to see Guhle back on the ice in a reg jersey.

Big Bill @bigbill33.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Is it just me, or is Dach more invisible this game than he was in YYZ, which he was invisible in the first and third periods? If yes, he's having a poor camp and will be looking from the outside.

Big Bill @bigbill33.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Actually nice not to see the digital boards in action for once.

Says the guy who stands behind his boss constantly smelling his flatulence releases (since he won't release the Epstine files), and his full depends.

Mr Saturday night does it in pre-season from Hutson. Habs win 4-3 in OT in YUL.

000

NHL officiating at it's finest again..... contact when the goalie left his crease, and the Habs get a penalty. #NHLofficiatingisajoke

100

Habs win 4-1 in YYZ. Solid performances by Monty, Reinbacher, and Danault. Dach had the same energy as he did last season.... did not stand out.

070

Ole, Ole, Ole being sung in YYZ and Mesar scores to make it 4-1 Habs

Big Bill @bigbill33.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Danault scores his 2nd goal of the night into a EN in YYZ... 3-1 Habs.

You have a lot of American and some Canadian podcasters tripping themselves over Carney, and think he's the next coming of god..... just because he is one of the few leaders who stood up to Trump and his admin. At least the Majority Report gets it. youtu.be/HxLS-oZkVLY?...

Never bring a knife to a gun fight when debating Mehdi. As such, Medhi has the facts, the figures, and the truth. For a narcissistic person like Nancy Mace, who does anything for attention, is an embarrassment to society. She needs to go back to the rock she came out from.

This just further proves why Canada walked away from the trade table with the U.S. The U.S. (Trump admin) wanted full veto power on any trade deals Canada made; thus threatening Canada's sovereignty. They're doing it now.

So, GOP ME Senator Susan Collins is warning that any ties between Canada and the EU will hurt further agreements with the Trump admin on trade and tariffs. The unpredictable GOP is the reason why Canada is looking at other options. Can't trust a Country who signs agreements in pencil and lies.

As the Carney govt aims to attract foreign investment, we need to ask ourselves some important questions. What are we selling? To who? What should be owned/developed by Canadians? Canada is one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Let’s make sure it’s controlled by Canadians.

The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed Zach Bolduc to a four year contract worth $4.2M AAV, per Chris Johnston.

Too add to the GOP lies... tax cuts for all from the BBB (went to the top 1% and Corporations), Doge savings (offset cuts to social programs), tariff rebates (went back to corporations). Plus still waiting for that great GOP health care plan (they don't want one.... they would rather people die).

It's annoying as a Canadian, growing up in Quebec when Americans say Bombardier...... Bomb-ba-deer. Come on guys, it Bomb-Bar-dyea. Seeing it mispronounced alot lately on US MSM with Trump's latest attacks on Bombardier plane manufacturing.
