I have been thinking about this piece all weekend (I edited it on friday). It turns out that pet flea treatments are killing birds- the birds line their nests with pet fur which contains pesticides and kills the chicks. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Today in relatable science: Gulls making a mysterious daily trip that turned out to be to a potato chip factory
