My neighborhood dry cleaner/coin-op laundry/roof repair/auto detailing shop is now selling new low-speed Shandong Dabang EV minitrucks from Alibaba. The owner personally drives an INEOS Grenadier.

I missed this Imperial Watch Co. Rangefinder — a tribute to Eberhard, of all things — at launch but managed to snatch one secondhand without any markup. Gorgeous red dial in an otherwise unremarkable package, with the only notable element being a friction bezel, but only $439. 1 of 25 in this color.

Reminder that as much as people like to blame General Motors for ripping out streetcars, none other than Robert Moses was crowing about doing it — and doing it before WWII was even over.
