Finished watching both Wicked movies yesterday, and although they were weak in everything except visuals and character development arcs, I can't stop thinking about how unfair it is that the show runners bent the knee for enforced monogamy. Been on the lookout for throuple fanfics since.

The Cornell thing is outrageous in its own right. Most parents will warn their daughters about things like second locations, remote locations, dark corners... Not higher education institutions. It's something that has been happening for some time too, and clearly ppl looked the other way. Horrible!

just finished reading a small doomed yuri comic that I've heard ppl were angry about because some male character saved the day... it was not that at all. the dude didn't earn being a savior but the biggest problem is the story ended 5 pages after the intrigue... at least it was a quick read...

It's painful enough to be accused of using it, especially if u didn't, as an author. And when you realize that using it for marketing only makes ppl convinced that you used it for writing too, the sting of that slap stays for a long while... It would for me, at least.

I learned about em-dashes and how to use them literally 2 months before they started being vilified. I always say the highest sign of AI writing is how boring it ends up being, but ppl can write boring on their own too. When it's guessing, blocking is too much, imo.

Yeah, I noticed. Feels a bit like a witch hunt, sometimes. Like, the amount of people being wrongfully accused of using AI just for punctuation or good grammar or certain words, is another face of this movement that I am not positively impressed with.

Eh, I think blocking is a bit much for being mildly stupid. I've been stupid plenty of times and eventually learned better. A simple unfollow does similar but also leaves room for me to find them again once they've learned better. But that's just me.

I think the usual logic behind this is the fear that these animals figured out how easy prey humans can be. I'm a bit disgusted about the PR talk in the article though. They are to be shot. People read euthanasia and think of the chemical peaceful one, but no, they'll be hunted.
