There's been additional breakdown, but we shouldn't overstate it: conservatives and their media allies have been full of shit on "policy" my whole life, and the question is how much they get away with it. This Laffer curve bullshit is from 2007, and yes that's the same Kevin Hassett.
WSJ chart on the Laffer curve; mathematically, there's no relationship between corporate taxes and revenue, but they pretended there was one by hand-drawing a curve way outside 20+ countries so it can make a spurious connection from UAE (outlier, no tax) to Norway (outlier, highest corp tax) to blob of UK/France/US.

ProPublica reviewed the court records for more than 70,000 habeas petition cases and found that judges in some parts of the country take far longer than others to decide whether people with no criminal record should be detained by ICE. See our full list: propub.li/46ejybx
Excerpt of a searchable table titled "How long do habeas cases take in different judges' courtrooms?" The description reads: "Among judges who have been assigned at least 50 habeas cases during the second Trump administration, the median time for a case to be closed varies widely." The table is organized into columns, from left to right: judge (appointed by); district; total cases; and median days to close. For example: The top judge, Charles Goodwin, is a Trump appointee in the Western District of Oklahoma, with 169 total cases and 144 median days to close a case. Most of the top 9 judges shown were appointed by Republican presidents and are in red state districts. They all take a median 92 days or longer to close habeas cases.

One thing I lay out in this post is that Trump is ALREADY stoking stochastic terrorism against Davey Hearn (and laid the groundwork to go after the judge, Todd Edelman), in part to try to give the Parks employee who accused Hearn credibility. emptywheel.net/2026/08/11/h...
A Trump post attacking Davey Hearn. I've marked how he's trying to do that: by reframing Jeanine Pirro's MTD, by attempting to resuscitate the discredited witness who accused Hearn, by invoking Act Blue to trigger conspiracy thinking, and to tribalize things, tying Hearn to Jim Comey and 8647.A Libs of TikTok post magnifying Trump's attack on Hearn. I've shown how she grabs attention, "HOLY CRAP," stoking grievance, how she made shit up about Act Blue that Trump didn't say, then dehumanized Hearn by calling him deranged.
