Pacing issue I see a lot: authors spend 50 pages on backstory before the plot starts. Your reader doesn't need to know everything upfront. Weave backstory in as the story unfolds. Keep them turning pages. #AmEditing #WritingCommunity #wip

Dialogue tag tip: 'said' is invisible to readers. Don't use 'exclaimed,' 'stated,' or 'uttered.' Stick with 'said' and let the dialogue itself carry the emotion. Your manuscript will be cleaner and stronger. What's your go-to dialogue tag? #WritingCommunity #WritingTips #AmEditing

One thing I see in almost every manuscript: too many adverbs. Instead of "She walked slowly into the room," try "She crept into the room." One word does the work of two. Your readers will thank you. #WritingCommunity #AmEditing
