The funniest text-to-speech thing I've seen so far. With this ring, I thee wed -> With this ring, I thee Wednesday. Writer brain autocorrect is so annoying when you try to catch errors. #writingCommunity #authorSky #writerSky

consolidation prize -> consolation prize I hate errors like this because grammar checkers don't always pick them up. Word's text to speech for the win. The error is obvious when you hear it. 🙄😜 #writingCommunity #authorSky #writerSky

It’s a genuinely valuable insight. BTW Those who read a draft of mine who aren’t writers are the ones who teach me the most.

I watched silent movie Alfred Hitchcock ,The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog (1927). Suspense and misdirects still worked, but things were telegraphed much more to achieve it. The basics are there, but modern cinema has many more tools. #filmSky #hitchcock

An infographic screenshot from an Instagram account named "theliteraturelane" titled "ANALYZING DIALOGUE: QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU ANALYZE DIALOGUE IN A TEXT". The graphic features a list of eight numbered questions, each paired with a circular black icon and descriptive bullet points:Which character is speaking? Bullet points prompt the reader to identify the speaker and consider their role in the story.Who is the character speaking to? Bullet points ask to identify the listener and the relationship between them. What does the dialogue tag tell the reader? Sub-bullets list options: character's tone, movement/actions, or internal thoughts while speaking. What is the character's tone while he/she is speaking? Bullet points suggest considering the attitude or feeling behind the words (e.g., angry, sad, sarcastic, calm). Why do you think the author chose to have this character speak this line of dialogue aloud? Bullet points ask what is revealed about the character, theme, or plot. How does the dialogue move the action of the story along? Bullet points prompt evaluating if it reveals new information, creates conflict, solves a problem, or leads to a decision. Is the piece of dialogue part of a back-and-forth conversation... or an isolated statement...? Bullet points suggest considering the purpose of the exchange or monologue. How does the author make the dialogue authentic...? Bullet points advise looking at word choice, sentence structure, contractions, slang, pauses, and natural flow. The bottom of the screen displays standard Instagram interface icons, showing 70 likes, and a partial caption that reads "theliteraturelane How to Analyse Dialogue in...”

My daughter made a baby bonnet and asked me to model it. 🙄😂 She said not my vibe, but still dares me to wear it in public. 🫣😳 This could be a meme for, "Don't be such a big baby." 👀🤷 One of those days I feel like I'm too much of a good sport. #crochet
Crochet bow bonnet made with super bulky yarn. This was a good project to use it for, but it was sorta down to the wire in the end, I only had a foot of yarn left. I made a square for the top, worked along 3 of the sides down, then used sc in a chain for one string and foundation sc for the other. This was worked continuously in mostly hdc
