As this government came to power I and many others urged them to scrap the two-child benefit limit, which would instantly have taken 250,000 kids out of poverty. Not only did they not do that, their policies will now push a further 250,000 people (inc 50k kids) into poverty. Deeply demoralising.

A good #SocialSecurity system doesn’t just protect disabled & unemployed people—it protects all of us. Lose your job? Get sick? Care for a loved one? Stuck in a minimally waged job that barely covers rent? You’ll need it too. When the safety net breaks, we all fall. That’s why we must all fight.

Many things improve health outcomes, but let me tell you this: - Treating people as less because they can’t work doesn’t. - Giving disabled people less when disability costs more doesn’t. - And forcing people into poverty to ‘incentivise’ work? That definitely doesn’t.

A silhouette of a person's profile is shown against a dark background. The text "REST IS RESISTANCE" is prominently displayed in bold white letters, with the words "REST" and "RESISTANCE" stacked vertically. Below them, there are two horizontal blue lines. To the right of the text is a stylized hand icon in gradient colors of blue and purple, featuring a heart symbol in the center.
