Silly #jondami fic I'm working on, where Damian has to join a singing competition for a mission. Guess it falls under "crack treated seriously". #wip

Fic wip excerpt. The relevant passage is: They clearly recognised the name, if not his face, and all three of them had slightly different reactions. The woman looked delighted. The man beside her looked dismayed. The second man, an older industry veteran, just frowned.

For now we have Jon and Damian giving Bingley and Darcy-energy at a country dance, Damian arriving unexpectedly early to the Kent estate and finding Jon after a dip into a pond, and Damian unintentionally ruining Jon for any and all hopeful young ladies by being more accomplished than them.

Wrote a Reverse Robins AU #jondami fic. archiveofourown.org/works/871413... #fic

Reverse Robins AU, where Damian returns from the dead changed by the Lazarus Pit, planning to murder his way through Gotham's criminal underworld until he meets an orphaned circus boy in need of help.

Jason was lost in the spirit world for years while the family thought he had died. He wasn't the same when he finally came back, but they are slowly mending things between them. Not sure about the others yet, but I'm having fun with it.

Richest guy in the Earth Kingdom (or Republic City if Korra times) Bruce Wayne and his multi-cultural gaggle of children he has somehow picked up on his travels. At first people thought the oldest child, Dick, could airbend but no, he's just like that, throwing himself off buildings recreationally.

betsib @betsib.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

Boring workday and I've been amusing myself with imagining the Batfam in an Avatar AU but... none of them would be benders, would they? (except maybe Duke) It would all be chi-blocking and gadgets and acrobatics and swords, Dick doing the Ty Lee-thing, Damian basically being the Blue Spirit etc.

Read the Teen Titans (2016) run, and tbh I didn't really enjoy it that much, it kinda felt like the writers were just pushing the characters around without exploring their motivations, but it had it's moments. Also I found this part unreasonably funny and sad at the same time. "He's older than me!"

010

betsib @betsib.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

Anyway DC continuity and character development so it's also a way to keep track my favourite character moments so I can refer back to that when the next writer tries to massacre my boy.

betsib @betsib.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

You know, I've always kinda assumed that the stereotypical nerd in movies who quotes stuff from specific comic issues is an exaggeration at best. And here I am screenshotting my favourite panels and writing down which issue they are from... suddenly i can see how that stereotype happened.

Where there is light, there is shadow. Shadowbringers will officially be added to the FFXIV Free Trial on Tuesday, April 28! Play up to and including Patch 5.5 for free!

Slide text reads expanded free trial to include Shadowbringers. Behind the text is a close-up of the Warrior of Light from the Shadowbringers trailer. To the right is an artwork commemorating Shadowbringers' addition to the free trial; key characters from the Shadowbringers story are depicted above the Warrior of Light, who dressed in dark knight gear. He is posing dramatically with his back to the viewer, reaching for the greatsword standing to his left.

Also, Jon going him for advice/to vent and later Damian immediately clocking and supporting Jon's feelings for Jay in Superman: Son of Kal-El was great.

betsib @betsib.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

There is a great tragedy in outgrowing your childhood best friend/your childhood best friend growing up too fast through no fault of their own, and in their case it's literal. And they are like "no, fuck that, we're still best friends". It's not the same as it was, but it's still cute.

betsib @betsib.bsky.social · 18/04/2026

Been reading a bunch of DC Comics again, specifically trying to catch up on all things Damian Wayne. And honestly as much as I wish they had kept Super Sons going and had Damian and Jon grow up together, I appreciate they stayed best friends despite the age-up, it's very cute.

this was my entry for the #FFXIV Fanfest Art Contest 💙♥️🕊️ while not a finalist, i wanted to finally share my piece!! bakool ja ja remains one of my favorite characters. i would like to see him flourish wherever he goes. 🥺🫰

A stylized painting of Bakool Ja Ja being surrounded by mamool ja children. They are all walking through a golden field, where blue flowers pepper their path. In Bakool Ja Ja's shadow is an abstract impression of the Skydeep Cenote and the sunken urns belonging to Mamook. In one of the hands of the mamool ja children, is a mutated flower.
