Reciprocal mechanochemical feedback couples neural crest migration and neurulation - preLights
Neural crest migration and neural tube closure: two tissues in conversation. Neural crest cells help the neural tube close by building a fibronectin-rich interface, while neural tube bending mechanica...

Excited to share a new preprint from the lab led by @lukekoblan.bsky.social and William Colgan in which we describe our efforts to define a quantitative cell fate map of mouse embryogenesis! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

The third movie is the generative model from hematopoiesis data. We inject units in the average state and see what happens. You can see how the flows organize, defining intermediate lineages. There is even a kind of pulsatile dynamics that I like very much.

Excited to share our first @prelights.bsky.social with Lucie Hermet!🤩 We highlight the beautiful work of William N. Colgan et al. using PEtracer to map cell fate decisions during mouse embryogenesis, linking lineage history, transcriptional identity and spatial context. #DevBio #PreLights

@irenekarapidaki.bsky.social et al have identified robust membrane-localizing tags in each of ten animals from diverse phyla, including chordates, echinoderms, arthropods, roundworms, annelids, flatworms, and nettles and in their close relatives, the choanoflagellates. @dev-journal.bsky.social 1/2

Targeting the cell membrane in established and emerging model organisms
Summary: Screening a toolkit of diverse membrane-localising tags identifies candidates that efficiently localise proteins to the plasma membrane in a wide range of animals and choanoflagellates.
