I hit compiler bugs all the time, I have to define rules to decide what compiler and what version of the compiler to use to build the exact same source code depending on the architecture and target OS version. It's everyday work for me. 100

But that "underlying problem" can be a compiler bug, or that you were relying on undefined behavior without knowing it, or a change in a system library, or many other possible factors.
