California pays the 13th-lowest grid electricity bills per capita in the US despite having the 2nd-highest electricity price. Texas pays the 38th-lowest bills per capital (21% higher than CA) despite half the electricity price as CA. Why, because TX consumes 2.5x the electricity per person as CA.

Peak summer demand on the grid is going to be so easy to solve. There is almost no complexity to that issue. When the sun is hottest air conditioning is the greatest load. But also solar panels work pretty well when the sun is hottest. That's a simple arithmetic problem that solar deployment solves

The community PV number of only 33% cheaper than nuk is surprising. Guessing there's a gap between wholesale and retail prices where community PV would take advantage We'll definitely have to dig into this number as behind the panel electricity is a substantial win. So why wouldn't community PV be?

That's "as expected" as well. Nuclear can't handle heat. It needs cool water. Good luck finding that in the future 😉 Nuclear is actually the most finicky source of electricity. It's always the first to shutdown. RE is almost always the last to shutdown, and the first to come back online.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Iranian War is the best thing to ever happen to RE. Bottom line: gas infrastructure (like nuclear) cannot survive the new age of drone warfare. In fact any centralized grid will most likely not survive the age of drone warfare. Localized solar, wind, batteries can.
