I've lived in the same house for 19.5 years. I've had two state representatives in that span, and the biggest political issue in the area is education. Neither one of my reps over those 19.5 years has ever been a parent. I'm looking forward to that changing when we flip GA HD45. #gapol

Checked mine and my wife's. We're good to go.

@jeffmarek.bsky.social @thesheethockey.bsky.social After listening to the Adam Copeland interview (outstanding stuff) I'm debating buying this T-shirt.

His name isn't fucking Warren.

On this day in 1795, Alexander Keith was born. He was the mayor of Halifax from 1843 to 1844 and 1852 to 1853. He founded Alexander Keith's Brewery and served with the Legislative Council of Nova Scotia from 1843 to his death in 1873. 📸 LAC

Same with Suburbans and Yukons at Costco. If you don't need your trunk at Costco, why are you there?

The company that operated the plane is based out of Hamilton Ontario.

Anyway- it's not working out for him in Seattle and I hope he can play his way into a change of scenery.

I don't have a favorite NHL team right now so I root for players and storylines. A story I'll be watching is what happens with Shane Wright (no relation). He holds the single season NHL records for goals and points by a Wright and he's halfway to catching Tyler Wright for career goals and points.

Canadian election reference, but this has the potential to be a Mulroney level collapse by the GOP.

Conception Bay not living up to it's name, wha?

Higher ed folks- is there an easy way to look up a researcher's career grant awards and federal funding amounts?

000

He's going to work 20 hours per day until the election, but also probably spend this weekend at one of his golf courses.

Probably robotic leg braces. DARPA has been funding research into exoskeletons for years. I'm sure he could get access to them.

May as well auto enroll people to vote too.

Technically game one of the playoffs was at 2, and over before 5. As a Braves fan this is working fine for me. It's about time the NHL did something that worked out for hockey fans in Atlanta.

020

The only thing I miss about Twitter is hockey Twitter. Hockey Bluesky is struggling.

Also, TIL the Thrashers have been gone for Atlanta for the same number of years the Jets were gone from Winnipeg.

000

NHL team values keep soaring, average franchise now worth $2.43 billion

What's crazier? That the Thrashers were sold to Winnipeg for $110 million and are now worth $1.52 billion, or that there are 30 other NHL teams worth more than $1.5 billion, ranking the Jets second -last in the league (a few million dollars ahead of Columbus).

Closest I've come is taking a train from Ottawa to Moncton. It was enjoyable, but not exciting.

In one interview I was asked how I would go about designing a spice rack for a blind person. I said I'd ask my uncle because he's blind and his father (my grandfather) was a carpenter.

5 or 6 for me. I highly recommend Reservation Dogs. Schitt's Creek took some effort to get into but I enjoyed it a lot.

It's a 3-2 GOP board with one Republican up for re-election, and he seems to be illegally using school district resources to send out campaign emails.

Ben Wright @benwrightatl.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

McBath's district got redrawn so now she only represents a small portion of Cobb. Barry Loudermilk represents most of it and some is in MTG's old district. The school board is a mess but could flip in November. The GOP controlled board refers to Ragsdale on everything.

Gotta be. Two Gallant sweaters, a picture of him, and he coached Markov and Luongo. And it's in his neck of the woods.

When a $2.9 million house goes up for sale on PEI you try to figure out who owns it (property records on PEI are very opaque). Based on the hockey memorabilia in photo 41 I have a pretty good guess.

That sounds like a threat to their life but maybe he meant something worse than death, like being made to serve on three extra committees a year and edit another journal.

I'm spending a day in Boone, NC next week. Where should we eat? 2 adults, 2 teens.

They expressed their displeasure on Nextdoor.

He has 2 Bs in his academic career, so he'll probably be okay.

My kid decided he was going to take the SAT with zero prep. No practices, no review, nothing, aside from.the PSAT in school last year. He wanted to get a baseline and he'll take it again. I'm just along for the ride.

Panda Express is a solid choice though.
