Thank you so much to everyone who has sent me nice messages, shared this post, and made Bandcamp purchases/sent me money on ko-fi. You are all too kind 💗 Things are tough right now but I know they’re going to get better!

If you're a jr. sound designer & are interested in working on a narrative-driven RPG, I know of a studio looking for someone. Most of the game's sounds have already been made, and the team now needs someone to help them cross the finish line (there are ~75 sounds left to make). (1/2)

Fuck man, I hate the feeling. Years ago my wife and I were on the freeway at night and she had to swerve to dodge a head on collision w/ someone driving the wrong way. I was shaken for weeks. Glad you're ok 💜

My partner and best friend Kyle suffered from two strokes last week. We need your help. gofund.me/e25c60dfb Anything helps, a like, a share, a donation. thank you for your support during this difficult time ❤️

Support Kyle Fraser’s Recovery after Two Strokes

Some of you may know I’ve been dealing with a personal matter over the last week. Most of you do not. I consider myself a very private person but I need to ask for help at this time.

Last week, my partner and best friend, Kyle Fraser, suffered from two strokes in a single day.

There is a very long and expensive road ahead, and our friends have been gracious enough to help organize a GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to offer their support. On it, we have written up more detail on his condition for anyone curious. Even a repost or share helps. The link to that is in my bio, my story, highlights - pretty much anywhere.

Thank you for your thoughts and support at this time. Apologies in advance if I take some time to reply, I’m taking it one day at a time.

For those who don’t know him, Kyle is probably the most compassionate person I’ve ever met. He is as gentle and brilliant as much as he is strong and funny. He loves his two cats Poly and Moog, and adopted them with the explicit intention of ‘which cats are you having a hard time adopting?’ Though he can be reserved and introverted, Kyle has a fierce passion for his career and will always offer a helping hand to anyone in need, often taking calls to mentor professionals beginning their career. I’ve become a better person through knowing and loving him.

Using AI for your art references not only gives you a skewed & inaccurate view of the world, it also puts resource providers like myself & all these awesome people out of work! Using REAL photo references is what levels up your art AND supports the stock/resource community! ❤️💪

Everything you’re hearing from the Trump administration is a lie. Today was one of the most active days in Northeast since the entire Operation Metro Surge began. Nothing is changing on the ground in Minneapolis, no matter what headlines Trump and Homan try to create.

The altnps account is the 13th most followed account on Bluesky and has more followers than every single news outlet other than the NYT, NPR and Meidas Touch on here. They actively spread misinformation and exploit gullible old people for cash. Accounts this unethical do not deserve to exist.

I came to Congress to do the job: to work for people and protect them. Now I’m facing 17 years in prison for standing up to this administration and to ICE. But if they think I’ll back down, they are wrong. Read more:

Video coming soon about dynamic ambience design in #Hauntii. Here's a lil animation I made about using dot product similarity for ambience regions #gameaudio #sounddesign #gamedev

One of my most used creative tools. I like the Melda one especially because the wet/dry mix makes neat phase effects. Just be careful crossing 0 Hz while signal is going through cause it can make super loud pops

ah, the bluesky hiccup kinda obscures the woodpecker 😑 I like this platform but the video implementation definitely leaves something to be desired

Another clip from that upcoming #Hauntii video: making odd, ghostly bird sounds with frequency shifting. The woodpecker at the end was such a happy accident #sounddesign #gameaudio #indiedev

I'd love to someday see an integrated tool to add captions on the platform itself. It's kind of a hassle to create them somewhere else, so a lot of people will just skip it (even alt text gets skipped a lot). But SURELY we can at least get accurately timed captions without manually delaying them?

Interesting thing I learned while posting this—Bluesky's closed captions are pretty messed up! Couldn't get them to sync up after several tries, until I found a bug report from 15 months ago on GitHub, where someone explains you have to *delay* all captions by 1.45 sec github.com/bluesky-soci...
