For the record, the school in question is Pleasant Plains High School in Pleasant Plains, Illinois, fifteen miles northwest of Springfield. A lot of the boys who went there during my time at that school (1992-93) would behave quite abhorrently around girls in class, and especially at parties.

"What would be your WORST karaoke song?" I once attempted "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" by R.E.M., couldn't keep up with how the lyrics were performed originally, and ended up slaughtering it. Ironically, the karaoke host complimented me, just for attempting that one.

Re: Mergers between news departments of two competing TV stations in a market. It's probably not about consolidating operations, and more about controlling what people want to report by reducing competition. It just happened in the town where I live, and down the road in Louisville, too.

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.

I had a long dream earlier while napping about adopting a stray grey cat that showed up at my door, while making plans to get another one. The grey cat gradually grew more skittish and started biting me over the course of an evening, so I decided to let it go. Glad I woke up before doing so.
