Always been super happy with this character design. Love a sci-fi poncho! Anyways, more of this guy in ‘The Flower’, new printing out October 11 and available for pre-order here: benjisstories.bigcartel.com/product/the-...

On the rare occasions I do fan art it’s either of things that are old and irrelevant or new but nobody cares and it gets cancelled (I’m looking at you everyone who ignored Terminator Zero 😡). So I hope this doesn’t continue the Benji fanart curse of nobody giving a crap! Lanterns is the best btw 💚

Revisiting my home town via Google Street View and can confirm it is still the perfect place to set a suburban horror movie.

16 years ago I saw The Prodigy for the first time. In 2023 I released my graphic novel ‘DEADSHEET’, my love letter to The Matrix, Stephen King, 90’s rave culture and The Prodigy. In 2024 it won a National Award. Last night I got to give The Prodigy their own personal copies. What the hell is life!?

This was so damn good! And the whole time reading it I’m like “Man this reminds me of Sword of the Atom I need to re-read Sword of the Atom” and then I read the afterword and of course @jason-aaron.bsky.social mentions Sword of the Atom.

I just stood for 2 minutes watching a sparrow battling a huge moth on the ground and it was epic. I was imagining being an ant and watching it like a kaiju fight. The sparrow won. Anyway. Everyone should read Dawnrunners by @therightram.bsky.social for equally epic battles.

Look tomorrow is gonna be a drag and it’s so easy to feel discouraged but you only have to hang in there a little bit longer good things are coming

A screenshot where Netflix is telling us that the movie You Me & Dupree, the movie nobody likes but somehow made money, is coming to Netflix

A closeup of the screenshot where I have circled the date; You Me & Dupree, the hit movie that is nowhere close to being on the pop cultural landscape, will be available to stream on February 1st

Things I will happily never to listen to again: 1. Old men say ‘Hook’ sucks 2. Old men say ‘The Goonies’ sucks 3. Old men correcting anyone who says ‘A New Hope’ with ‘Star Wars’ 4. Old men complaining about ‘The Phantom Menace’ 5. Old men.

Lucky to have read a full preview of NEW GODS #1 by Ram V and Evan Cagle. It's excellent - Kirby's grandiose, cosmic, psychedelic Shakespearean epic given an astonishing, slick new sheen. Historically a tough long-term sell, I can't recommend it enough and hope it finds quick, sure sales footing.
