My latest article, “The Legal Somatics of Body Bequests Before the Anatomy Act 1832”, is published in Mortality, an interdisciplinary journal on death and dying. In the article, I analyze the medico-legal history of 18th- and 19th-century body bequests in England and Ireland. doi.org/10.1080/1357...

Good to see Safe Food Matters et al continuing to demand accountability from PMRA in relation to the licensing of glyphosate-based pesticides in Canada. And I expect this decision by Justice Zinn to become a leading authority on review of decisions w/out supporting reasons. #canpoli

Canada strangely argues at the ICJ that the right to life is not informed by the environment and the 'content' of the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment is 'undefined'. Also argues that the principle of prevention does not exist in the field of climate change.

Saskatoon temps were around −28°C this week, just like 34 years ago. Why −28°C? Why 34 years ago? Neil Stonechild was arrested by two #Saskatoon police officers & left in a field northwest of the city on Nov 25, 1990. Neil was found by construction workers 34 years ago today, frozen to death.

Please send all submissions to nobyrne@unb.ca no later than 15 January 2025. Late submissions will not be considered. Only one paper proposal per individual will be accepted.
