I have not enjoyed being able to see this coming but not figuring out how to stop it 😢

it’s not a strategy, they’re just rolling over for trump and they say stuff like this to trick people into thinking it’s some sort of plan. I’m genuinely embarrassed for America that there are still people taking them at face value

One of the only good things that came out of the entire political crisis was the chance to meet even indirectly other people that gave a damn.

More people are paying attention but not enough. I believe we are getting some sort of intentional economic crash combining destruction of long held govt benefits, spending, with forced contraction in business activity due to uncertainty. They’re cutting social security and also food banks.

You can tell a real life person that we’re at the point where there are multiple CPAC nazi salutes but it doesn’t register as, like, a problem.

People keep asking why no one is raising the alarm or why no emergency measures are happening or why people in power are letting this happen, but I’ve realized over time that they do not actually want the answer.

It would take bringing the entire country to a screeching halt to stop this. I think Twitter might be deboosting content of people protesting, it feels kind of hidden.

Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place advait.org/files/lee_20...

Tesla is on the downtrend right now, their last earnings showed that the core business is declining and they were only saved by a bullshit accounting trick. You just gotta make it totally toxic to own a Tesla or Tesla stock. Like undateable toxic.

This is going to sound like shade at first but please hear me out: Liberals understanding the machinations of US government often make them think they are more qualified to discuss politics than we are. But even if that was true at some point, it no longer applies. The old rules have been torched.

The fact that the Elon commandos went straight for the federal payment systems tells me that they intend to short circuit the whole thing to modify, destroy or control it outside of extralegal channels. Maybe dramatically. Maybe they’re just integrating bitcoin.

I'd say that for at least the last decade, if not longer, that this is all it has been. The marketing is innovation for the consumer the actual output has been anti-regulation, anti-labor, anti-environment, anti-progress, designed as addictive, damaging profit sucking money laundering schemes

Trump does not give a shit about the report because it’s totally meaningless. The only people who care about the report are democratic partisans who have assigned it an outsize importance for no apparent reason.

It’s not just that Trump was mysteriously immune to consequences in the last four years - he’s lived his entire life above the law no matter how serious his crimes. Sometimes he pays a fine, but not always. I think I know why and in the coming days I will argue my case. It’s up to you to decide.

I don’t think there was any 5D chess going on. I don’t think there was ever a master plan or “big things happening behind the scenes.” In the end, there was nothing except a willingness to do bipartisanship with Trump. What mean?

I asked Grok whether my posts would be considered “negative” under the new algorithm and it’s basically my entire account - and maybe also yours
Answer
Under the new algorithm, posts by @benfranklin2018 that could be considered too negative might include those that express strong dissent against established narratives or institutions, or those that portray a very bleak or cynical view of societal or political outcomes. Here are some examples based on posts found on X:
• Posts that directly attack or insult powerful figures or institutions could be seen as too negative, especially if they suggest systemic manipulation or deceit. This includes posts that question official narratives or imply widespread misinformation by political influencers.
• Comments on the manipulation of public sentiment or the encouragement of negative social behaviors, like casual sadism or misinformation, would likely be viewed negatively under an algorithm designed to reduce the spread of content that could be seen as objectionable or divisive.• Posts that highlight a perceived collapse or failure of systems, particularly those that use sarcasm or humor to critique the current state of affairs, might be flagged for promoting a negative outlook.
• Any content suggesting that the public is being systematically misled or conditioned in a certain way, especially if it involves political outcomes or public health crises, could be deemed too negative.
These types of posts might be deboosted or have their visibility reduced as they could be seen as promoting negativity, misinformation, or discord, which are often targeted by algorithms aiming to maintain a more positive or balanced user experience.
