Also had my A1C tested for the first time since probably July? And it dropped from 6.4 to 5.5?????? I don't think my A1C has EVER been 5.5. This is miraculous.

D & I once approached a Canada goose pair bc the (presumed) female one had a bunch of fishing wire tangled round her foot and her mate kept trying to puff up to approach menacingly, all the while hissing furiously. I was prepared to fight but still don't know how we didn't get attacked.

I haven't tried their steel so thank you for the rec! I actually use 2 store-brand steel stockpots from Meijer circa about 2011 that have endured all kinds of abuse (+ used to be my old waterbath pots) & I fear what'll happen if I ever have to replace them bc Meijer no longer makes such sturdy pots.

I rarely cook for anyone else but I still cook huge portions anyway bc idk, something is wrong with me lol. I am 6'1", heavyset and pretty strong but I do have a tendency towards tendinitis around my thumbs if I'm not careful so I think if I'd chosen a bigger pot, I'd be in trouble.

Idk if this helps bc I have a Lodge instead but it's 6 quarts. I use it for most everything unless I need to boil a lot of water (e.g. for slipping skins off canning tomatoes/peaches), then I use a massive steel stockpot. All my preserving is done w/ a digital pressure canner d/t incompatible stove.

We made a shrine for our beloved ancient bog witch cat when she had to be put to sleep earlier this year and it's brought us incredible comfort since she's been gone. You can honor and elevate anyone or anything that matters to you.

I'm unlikely to grow these again tho; I don't like how seedy they are, and the uneven surfaces are annoying to peel. I think I've finally found the super-prolific hybrid seeds that I was previously buying as starters at bonkers markup from a local farm, though; guess we'll see next year 🙂
