My Catania is a vengeful goddess who decides who lives and who dies. Her and them, in that order. #FireEmblem

Wife and I are starting Autumn by watching witch movies that are largely about women supporting women. It’s made a lovely vibe! Any recommendations?

Jesus christ. This ad is posted on @ign.com with absolutely no disclaimers about it being an ad. Nothing indicated that it was paid for or who paid for it. Just "journalism", right alongside every other article, breaking the "news story" that Spruce is an incredible money app.

Two seconds in and the art direction for Providence Island is already the best in the game. This instantly dog walks the other regions in terms of color and life. #Borderlands

The prison outfits of Borderlands 4’s women. Everything about Loveless’s execution seems to represent a small but unmistakeable shift in Gearbox’s design philosophy. This is a pretty succinct embodiment of that.

The UN just voted to FINALLY make maps of the world accurately reflect the size of Africa. The U.S. was the only one to vote against this measure. Below, the map on the left is accurate. The right is the previous, inaccurate one that the U.S. voted to defend.

The horror movie, Z, is very very good. If you’re a horror fan, step in without learning anything else about it. It’s very slow and deliberate, bordering on restlessly boring. But it is doing so with purpose, and you may well love where it’s going. Absolute fave. 💤

“GTA VI has no marketing campaign…. … there’s no early access… … we’re only selling it in a non-refundable format… … we delayed it a year without explanation. …. We haven’t actually said what will be in it. But trust us! It’s all going smoothly and will be a great game!”

Reading “Before We Were Trans”, a lovely book by Kit Heyam. It’s a thoughtful and excellent examination of how gender was discussed before modern definitions/uses of “cis” and “transgender”. I love learning this!

It catches me entirely off-guard and defies my own expectations to report that… Absolute Batman is really that amazing. It’s worth the hype. It’s incredible. It reimagines the entire Batman canon in order to focus on and accentuate the things that work best about it. It’s wonderful.

If I had a nickel for every major Nintendo game that was about a shape shifting ink-pile who turned into a human as an expression of their loneliness and grief at the fall of humanity… I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it’s happened twice.
